Omelet is an original French dish, but today it is popular all over the world. The famous dish has conquered the whole world with its simplicity. It cooks quickly, so it's most often made in the morning for breakfast. Today you can find many variations of omelet making, so each time you can get a new dish.
In this review, I suggest another tasty and healthy breakfast option - semolina omelet in milk with steamed chocolate. It turns out to be tender, satisfying and literally melts in your mouth. This omelette recipe is dessert and sweet. But at home it can be made not only sweet, but also salty with the addition of meat, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. However, additives are a matter of taste. The proposed option is suitable for a children's breakfast. Since such an omelet can be served with fruit or cream. The second, with a salty filling, is more traditional and is served with toast or croutons.
The proposed dish is prepared very simply, the products are mixed and steamed. Although, if desired, you can make an omelet in the oven or in a pan. Semolina can be added to the omelet raw, or in the form of boiled porridge. The latter option will be more delicate, with a structure more like a soufflé.

- Sugar - 1 tsp or to taste
- Semolina - 1 tsp
- Dark chocolate - a few pieces
- Milk - 20 ml
Step-by-step preparation of semolina omelet in milk with steamed chocolate, recipe with photo:
1. Pour a raw egg into a deep bowl.
2. Add milk to the container with the egg.
3. Whisk the eggs and milk well until smooth. You do not need to whip with a mixer, just mix with a fork or a small whisk.
4. Add sugar and semolina to the food and stir to distribute the food evenly throughout the volume. Leave the mixture to stand for 15 minutes so that the semolina swells a little, otherwise it will grind on your teeth in the finished dish.
5. Break the chocolate into medium-sized pieces or grate and add to the egg-milk mass. Stir the food.
6. Make a steam bath. Pour water into a saucepan and boil. Place a sieve on top so that it does not come into contact with boiling water.
7. Place a container with an omelet in a sieve.
8. Place the lid on the strainer and heat on medium heat.
9. Boil the semolina omelet in milk and chocolate for a couple of 10 minutes, stir occasionally to prevent the semolina from forming lumps. Serve the finished meal warm when it is the most tender. Although it can be consumed even after cooling, the structure of the dish will then become a little denser.
