Summer is in full swing, the owners of their own summer cottages and plots enjoy young vegetables grown with their own hands, incl. and potatoes. I propose to get acquainted with an incredibly tasty dish made from young potatoes.

This vegetable is rich in many useful substances, such as vitamins C, P and B, which are almost completely lost during long-term storage, and the rest is destroyed during heat treatment. But in order to preserve the maximum vitamins in potatoes, it should be baked or boiled directly in the peel. In this case, you need to put it in the oven preheated, and put it in a saucepan with boiling water. Based on this, we come to the conclusion that the most rich in vitamins are young potatoes, i.e. it is usually prepared without peeling the peel, with which it is eaten together. Therefore, I propose to make a kebab out of potatoes, which can be cooked even after a hard day's work. Having an oven, wooden skewers and food foil, you will have a chic, tasty and healthy dinner on the table in a maximum of an hour.

It is impossible to call this shish kebab vegetarian, because for juiciness and satiety it is prepared along with bacon. However, if it is not used for eating, then the dish will be completely lean and dietary.

Cooking young potato skewers

1. Wash young potatoes under running water and dry with a paper towel. String it on wooden skewers one at a time. Cut the bacon into thin slices. I advise you to use potato tubers of the same size so that they cook at the same time. Otherwise, some will be ready, while others will remain a little damp, or, on the contrary, will be heavily baked.

3. Now take shape food. Cut pieces of foil to the size of the kebabs with a small margin. Lay a slice of bacon on top of the tubers, which should be as long as the kebab so that it completely covers it.

4. Tightly wrap the shish kebab with foil and send to bake in an oven heated to 200 ° C for 40-50 minutes. The exact cooking time depends on the size of the tubers. Check its readiness with a toothpick - if it pierces easily, the food is ready. This can be done directly through the foil.

5. Serve the prepared shish kebab immediately after cooking. But if you do not eat right away, then you do not need to unfold it from foil, it will keep warm for a long time. You can not serve anything else for a side dish with a kebab, the dish is quite self-sufficient.
