Ingredients:
- Sweet bell pepper - 7 pcs.
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Meat (any sort) - 700 g
- Hot pepper - 0.5 pods
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Tomatoes - 3-4 pcs.
- Rice - 100 g
- Greens (any) - bunch
Step by step preparation of stuffed peppers in Greek, recipe with photo:
1. Peel the onions, rinse, dry and cut into small cubes. Remove the seed box from the hot pepper and chop finely. Peel and chop the garlic. Rinse the greens and chop finely.
2. Wash the tomatoes, put them in a food processor and use the "cutting knife" attachment to chop them to a puree consistency. If there is no food processor, twist the tomatoes through a meat grinder.
3. Wash the meat, cut off the film with veins and twist it through a meat grinder with a medium wire rack.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and add minced meat. Fry it over a slightly over medium heat until golden brown.
5. Wash the rice well so that all the gluten is washed off and send to the pan in the meat. Stir and continue to fry for another 5-7 minutes.
6. Add twisted tomatoes, herbs, garlic and hot peppers to the skillet.
7. Season food with salt and black pepper, stir and simmer for 15 minutes over low heat.
8. Wash the pepper, dry it with a towel, cut the stalk and scrub the seed box. Choose peppers so that they are firm and do not turn over during cooking.
9. Fill the peppers with the filling, leaving 1 finger space at the top. Pour a little water into each pepper, because the rice will increase in volume during cooking. Send the stuffed Greek-style peppers in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for half an hour. Serve the finished dish hot or chilled. Greek peppers are delicious in any form.
