Textile "heart" for decorating a Christmas tree
Required materials: dense material (fleece, felt, velvet, corduroy), printed material (synthetic winterizer or holofiber), colored lace, lace, unusual buttons, beads or bugles, cardboard.
Operating procedure:
- To begin with, on thick cardboard, draw a sketch of the future toy, taking into account the seam allowance (0.7-0.8 cm). After that, cut out the paper "heart" template and proceed to cutting the textile blanks.
- Next, carefully fold the two fabric blanks with the outer sides inward, insert the string for hanging between them and temporarily fix it with a pin.
- Then sew the "heart" around the circle. Remember to leave a small hole unstitched to allow the toy to be filled with padding.
- After that, turn out the workpiece, iron it and fill it tightly with filler. Sew the slit with a blind stitch.
- Now, along the contour of the New Year's "heart", let openwork lace, and at the attachment point of the hanging loop, sew an unusual button. Decorate the front side of the toy with beads or bugles.
Decorative Christmas tree lamp
Required materials: green floral mesh, flower wire, thick cardboard, scotch tape, food stretch film, LED garland, PVA glue, plastic beads.
Operating procedure:
- First, form a cone out of cardboard, secure the free edge of the figure with tape. Then wrap the structure twice with stretch film.
- Next, in a small plastic container, mix PVA glue and warm water in a 2: 1 ratio. Before use, the solution should be infused for 15-20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cut the flower net into small pieces. In turn, moisten each of them well in the glue mixture and apply to the cone covered with a film. Sections of the mesh should be glued in a circle in the direction from bottom to top.
- After gluing, cover the mesh with another layer of mortar for security and secure with sewing pins. Your Christmas tree should now dry well. The drying process usually takes about 4-5 hours. Then the mesh structure must be carefully dismantled from the conical base.
- After that, start decorating the New Year's lamp. Place the LED string inside the tree and attach it to the hooks formed from flexible wire. Decorate the outside with a decorative tree with multi-colored beads.
Hanging garland
Required materials: white polymer clay (plastic), acrylic paints, clear varnish, pastry molds, rolling pin, parchment, lacing or tape, self-adhesive sequins, glue.
Operating procedure:
- First, gently soften the clay in your hands until it is pliable and smooth. Then spread the plastic on the parchment and roll it out with a rolling pin to the desired thickness.
- Then, using confectionery molds-templates, cut out various figures from the plastic "dough" and temporarily set them aside for hardening. Typically, the process of clay polymerization takes 12-20 hours - it all depends on the size and thickness of your products.
- As soon as the figures have acquired the necessary strength, you can start painting them. After the acrylic is completely dry, cover the blanks with transparent varnish.
- Now the colorful jewelry must be securely fastened along the entire length of the lacing with glue. When the garland is ready, decorate each figure on the back with a scattering of sequins.
