After calving for the first 48 hours, the cow does not give milk, but colostrum, which contains a huge amount of nutrients. It is a thick, yellow liquid (slightly darker than regular milk) with a high protein content. Since the calf is not able to drink everything, some of this liquid goes to people. Tender colostrum is prepared from it in the oven. For many, this is not only a healthy and very tasty dessert that they themselves eat cold or hot. And some do not really perceive the taste, aroma and consistency of colostrum. But you shouldn't deny yourself such a useful and rare product. It is for this category of people that I offer my unusual recipe.

If a piece of colostrum was handed to you from the village, and you do not like it, do not rush to throw it away, but prepare a delicious dessert with custard. If you do not have relatives in the village who would be treated to colostrum. Then buy it at the supermarket or bazaar. But the period is limited - from February to May, during the mass appearance of calves.

  • Colostrum - 200 g
  • Ready-made custard - 100 g
  • Vanillin - on the tip of a knife
  • Eggs - 1 pc.

1. Colostrum can be firm and soft. Any of them must be turned into a homogeneous mass. If you have dense colostrum, then pass it through the meat grinder auger 1-3 times, achieving smoothness. Beat the soft colostrum with a blender until smooth.

2. Pour the raw egg into the resulting mass and add a spoonful of chilled custard cream. In this recipe, I use a ready-made custard. 3. Add a pinch of vanillin to the food. Other aromatic spices are also suitable, such as ground cinnamon, cocoa powder, saffron, etc.

4. Use a blender to beat the food until you get a smooth, smooth mass of the desired consistency. Because colostrum is denser for some and less dense for others, the amount of custard may vary. Look at the consistency of the dessert. If you want a thinner mass, add more cream.

You can add flavors such as crushed chocolate or chocolate drops, crushed nuts or coconut, fresh fruit or dried fruit to the finished colostrum and custard dessert. You will get not only delicious, but also a super healthy dessert for the whole family. You can store it in the refrigerator for 2 days.
