How to choose seeds?
The seeds should not be damp. Otherwise, they grow moldy and deteriorate. In this case, the sun is also contraindicated for them, because because of the large amount of oil in which the seeds are rich, they become rancid. Buy seeds that are not in a damp room or outdoors. Although this does not mean that the seeds are good, because it is not known how they were previously stored. So take a handful of seeds and smell them. 1. Wash the seeds in a colander with hot water. It is impossible to wash them in a bowl, because they will float up and float into the hole in the shell. Place the seeds on a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
Prepare a dish for frying seeds: a flat, wide and not very deep dish that can be placed in the microwave. The dishes should be free of gold jewelry and metal parts.
Place the seeds on the plate of your choice, spreading them evenly in one layer. Keep in mind that a small number of seeds will burn, and a large number will not be fried evenly. Therefore, choose the middle ground: put on a plate a layer of seeds no more than 2-3 grains thick. Place the kernels in the microwave.
2. Turn on the appliance for 1, 5 minutes and cook them at the power of the appliance 850 kW.
3. After this time, open the oven door, remove the plate, stir the seeds and return to the microwave. Continue to fry them for another 1.5 minutes. After waiting for the cycle to complete, stir the seeds and tasting them to ensure they are ready.
