Chicken broth is a white broth because before cooking, the poultry is not fried, and the chicken broth itself is popular in French cuisine and can even serve as an independent dish. But you can add a variety of products to the broth, because chicken goes well with many ingredients. In this recipe, we will make chicken soup with green peas. Therefore, it can be included in children's and dietary menus, since the ingredients are considered low in calories and contain substances necessary for human health.
Also, green peas and chicken meat satisfy many of the body's needs, for example, in proteins, B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus. First courses cooked in chicken broth are often prescribed for diabetics and for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Chicken soup also contains glutamine, which is necessary for people after a stroke. it prevents the development of hypertension and atherosclerosis.
You can supplement such a soup with various vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, cabbage, herbs, zucchini, etc. In addition, the amount and ratio of ingredients you can use is what you like and taste the most. In any case, such a soup will be nutritious, while low in calories.

- Homemade chicken - 0.5 carcasses
- Potatoes - 3 pcs.
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Green pea pods - 400 g
- Bay leaf - 3 pcs.
- Allspice peas - 4 pcs.
- Dill - bunch
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Ground black pepper - pinch or to taste
- Any spices, herbs and spices to taste
Cooking Green Pea Chicken Soup
1. Wash the chicken carcass, remove the remaining feathers, wash and dry. Use a kitchen hatchet to chop the bird into pieces. Place half of the bird in a bag and set aside for another dish, and place the other in a cooking pot. Add the peeled onion, bay leaf and peppercorns. Fill the food with water and cook on the stove. After boiling, reduce the temperature to a minimum, remove the foam and cook the broth for 40 minutes.
If the poultry is purchased or broiler, then cook the soup in the second broth. Then put the spices in a saucepan with a second liquid.
2. Peel, wash and cut the potatoes. Since I am using young potatoes, the tubers are small and I divide them in two. Old fruits can be cut into the usual size. Peel the carrots, rinse and also cut into smaller cubes.
3. Remove the green peas from the pods and rinse.
4. Put potatoes and carrots in the broth. Boil and simmer, covered, for about 15 minutes.
5. Then add the peas, season the soup with salt and pepper. Continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
6. 5 minutes before the end of cooking, add chopped dill and your favorite spices with spices.
7. Boil the soup until tender.
8. Serve hot to the table. When serving, you can squeeze a clove of fresh garlic into each serving and sprinkle with croutons.
