The most ordinary canned fish will always come to the rescue when there is not so much time to prepare a hearty and tasty first course. The cost of sprat in tomato is quite inexpensive, and it is sold in all supermarkets and grocery stores.
Sprat soup is cooked in water, but sometimes in vegetable broth. An ordinary set of vegetables usually includes: potatoes, carrots and onions. However, you can also add cabbage, tomatoes, beets, spaghetti or porridge. Since sprat in tomato sauce is combined with many products, so you can always experiment with it and come up with new recipes for making soups of your own.
So that the soup does not come out bland, all kinds of spices, herbs and seasonings are put in it. In addition to salt and black pepper, you can put allspice peas, basil, dried garlic, etc. You can add any fresh herbs to decorate and refresh the soup.

- Canned sprat in tomato sauce - 1 can (240 g)
- Potatoes - 2 pcs.
- Spaghetti - 50 g
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Bay leaf - 2-3 pcs.
- Allspice peas - 4-5 pcs.
- Dried celery root - 0.5 tsp
- Carnation - 1 bud
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper - to taste
Cooking sprat soup in tomato sauce
1. First of all, prepare the food. To do this, peel the potatoes, rinse under running water and cut into medium-sized cubes. Peel and wash onions. Break the spaghetti into equal 4 pieces.
2. Now place the chopped potatoes, onion, bay leaf, dried celery root, allspice and clove in a saucepan. Pour in water and cook the soup after boiling over low heat until the potatoes are half cooked. At the end of cooking, remove the chipped onion from the pan and discard it, since it will already do its job - it will give away the aroma and taste. However, if you like frying onion in your soup, then cook it and cook potatoes with sautéed onions.
3. When the potatoes are half cooked, send the spaghetti to the pot to simmer.
4. While the food is cooking, open the jar of sprat in the tomato.
5. Try potatoes and spaghetti. If they are almost ready, then send the sprat to the pan. Let the soup simmer with all the ingredients for about 2-3 minutes. After that, the dish can be served immediately.
