Required materials, tools
Here's what you need to purchase before redecorating:

- Putty (dry or ready-made);
- Wallpaper;
- Ceiling tiles and glue for them;
- Flat brush, rag;
- Skirting boards for floors and ceilings;
- Floor covering (linoleum, laminate);
- Roller with a long handle;
- Cuvette;
- Linoleum glue (if you lay it);
- Film, scotch tape for covering furniture.
Preparatory work, wallpaper dismantling
Move furniture out to make space. Place the things from the closets in large bags, bags and also transfer them to another room. If the cabinet is heavy, there is no way to turn it over to another room, disassemble it by carefully folding the components. If this method does not suit you either, move the cabinet away from the wall, cover it with a wide cellophane film on all sides, secure it with a stapler or tape.

Fill the entire blade of a large spatula with the product, attach it to the wall, spread the mass evenly over its surface. Do this until the section of the wall is flat.

After all the walls in the room are flat, let the putty dry for 24 hours. If cracks appear at this time, moisten them with water, go over these places with a spatula. After a day, you can start gluing the wallpaper.
Ceiling update
While the walls are drying, redecorate the ceiling. The easiest way is to cover it with PVC panels. Work begins from the center, having previously drawn a straight line that divides the ceiling exactly in two.
Apply adhesive around the perimeter and center of the back of the tile, and place one side of the panel against the marked line. Then apply glue to the second panel, secure next to it so that the seam is minimal. If you are doing cheap DIY repairs alone, it is more convenient to first apply glue to 4 × 5 tiles, and then fix them to the ceiling. PVC ceiling tiles are easy to cut, so when you reach the wall, when you see that you need a small piece, mark which one and cut the tile with a construction knife. The ceiling tile is also cut off, which must be fixed near the window and on the opposite side from it. Cover the tile joints with a sealant of a suitable color. After the ceiling is renewed, you can paint the tiles with latex or water-based paint, then it will absorb less dust, the white tiles will retain their brilliant appearance for a long time.

Wall decoration
Before gluing the wallpaper, you need to purchase it. Take with a small margin so that you do not have to buy. If you want to buy, for example, vinyl wallpaper with a pattern, do not forget that it will have to be "customized". Therefore, the consumption of wall material will increase slightly.
The range of wallpapers is now very large. Before you buy wallpaper, you can look at samples on the Internet. Decide what you want to buy vinyl, non-woven wallpaper, regular paper, or maybe paintable. Wallpaper glue corresponds to each type of wall material, there is also a universal one designed for several types of wallpaper.
After you bought the wallpaper, measure the height of the wall from ceiling to floor with a tape measure. Do not forget that you need to glue the wallpaper from the window to the right.
Set aside the resulting value on the wallpaper, cut it off. Dilute the glue according to the instructions, apply it with a brush to the back of the wallpaper. If they are dense, it is recommended to coat the part of the wall with glue on which you will attach the prepared canvas.

If this is not possible, place a table or ladder close to the wall. Attention, these items must be serviceable, stable, stand firmly on the floor, do not swing. Otherwise, it can lead to injury and bad mood, which will deteriorate after inaccurately pasted wallpaper!
Attach the top of the wallpaper to the top of the wall, and go over the area with a dry, soft cloth. When you have glued the top of the wallpaper, use a cloth to gently press it against the middle of the wall, then glue the wallpaper from the middle downwards at a 45 degree angle. Imagine that you first draw the trunk, and then the branches of the spruce, these are the movements you should get. After you have glued the wallpaper to the top of the wall, attach it to the middle and then to the bottom. Then measure and cut the second wallpaper. If they are patterned, be sure to choose the right one. Glue this part of the wallpaper in the same way.
Finish decorating all walls in the same way. Particular attention is paid to the docking points. It is best to apply the edges of the wallpaper end-to-end rather than overlapping. Then the seams will not be visible. If the joints are not glued well enough, go over them with a special joint glue.
In places where there are sockets and switches: turn off the voltage in the 220 network and remove the cases of sockets and switches, after gluing the wallpaper, mount them back.
Floors
If you have parquet, boards in good condition, but the old varnish is already uneven, it is advisable to loop it. It is quite difficult to do this with a manual cycle, so you can buy an automatic one or rent it. After the parquet is cleaned of old varnish, it must be thoroughly vacuumed. Then use a piece of paint netting to run over the planks in the direction of the pile, this will make the parquet look better.

If you have parquet and you decide to cycle it, then this must be done after all the cosmetic repairs in the room, but, before pasting the wallpaper … After pasting them, it's better to forget about cycling. Otherwise, it will be possible to do the floor scrambling only with manual cycles or glass (health will not be enough). The fact is that when doing this work with professional electrical cycles, very strong dust forms in the room and your new wallpaper will need to be re-glued. It is advisable to cover it with a water-based varnish. It is odorless, not as harmful as synthetic and dries quickly. Apply the first coat, let dry for 40 minutes, then cover the floor with a second coat of varnish. It will dry within four hours, after which the parquet needs to be varnished a third time.
