If in kindergarten you were asked to make a layout of a Russian hut with your own hands, you can easily create it from cardboard, paper and salt dough. You can also make a stove to fit inside the house.
The model of the Russian hut will show the children how they lived in the old days. They will have an idea about household items, about the structure of the house. Such a layout is also useful for creating crafts for kindergarten, uniting children and parents who will create it together.
Diy Russian hut model
To do such a thing, take:
- cardboard box;
- self-adhesive film;
- PVA glue;
- bandage;
- brush;
- ceiling tiles;
- wallpaper.
Take a box, glue the bottom part with self-adhesive film under a tree to get such a floor. Wallpaper must be glued to the inside of the walls.
To make the layout of the Russian hut further, parents or children will draw with their own hands on the back side, where the windows will be located.
But now the parents will cut it out with a breadboard knife. You can make 3 windows, one on each wall. Glue the ceiling tiles on top to make this part of the house beautiful. For such work, you need to take a special glue that will fix this material well.
To strengthen the walls from the outside, first glue them with a bandage dipped in PVA glue. When dry, paint with white water-based paint.
Draw the shutters first with a pencil and then paint them.
Also, make a crib from the ceiling tile. To make its elements strong, like the house, glue it with a bandage.
Very soon the layout of the Russian hut will turn out. Paint the bed brown first. Then cut out the stove parts, glue them together. Do not forget to make a compartment for cooking and for storing firewood.
Also tape the outside of the stove with a bandage, and then paint with white paint. In the corners, this whitewash seemed to have collapsed a little. Show this by painting here in brown. When the paint is dry, walk around the combustion chamber in black. Take the tree branches to be cut into 4 pieces. The bite is made from a wooden skewer, and its upper part is made from wire, which can be wrapped in a cloth and glued here. The rug can be crocheted in a circle. Make a bench on which you put the braid with a folk pattern. Make a cradle.
Put the figure of the hostess inside, hang tulle curtains on the windows. Sew small pillows to the crib. Place the cat on a toy stool. You can also sew it yourself.
Glue a small paper-based icon in the corner, make a cradle, attach it to the top and put it inside the toy baby.
You can supplement the hut layout with some of your own items.
Here's another layout of a Russian hut that you can make.
- For the base, a box has already been taken, but with lower sides than in the previous master class. Make the stove out of cardboard. To do this, you need to make 3 parts from this material and glue them together. The smallest one will be at the top. This is a pipe.
- It is better to immediately take white cardboard so that you do not have to glue the base with paper of this color or paint it later.
- Then you will need to draw a firebox and a fire in it. Place a few sawn branches next to it, as if it were firewood. Place a patchwork blanket over the stove.
- For it, you need the remnants of matter that you need to sew together. Then they are sewn onto a base of fabric of the same size. Make the table and bench out of cardboard, which needs to be pasted over with adhesive film. The bed is made in the same way. You need to sew a set of bedding and pillows from the fabric on it. Place a knitted rug on the floor. Place a table with kitchen utensils next to it.
- Attach a curtain to the windows. As you can see, the cradle is suspended with a wire hook. Make it from ice cream sticks, attach fabric and threads here, for which the cradle will be hung.
Children are very fond of looking at such objects. They will definitely ask questions about what and how of these items was used in the old days. You tell them and thereby increase the horizons of the kids.
The third master class with step-by-step photos will also demonstrate how to make a hut layout. To craft it, take:
- a box or plywood for the base;
- stain;
- sharp knife;
- scissors;
- brush;
- salty dough;
- glue gun;
- gouache;
- newspapers;
- wooden skewers;
- pencil;
- wire;
- the cloth;
- lace;
- plasticine;
- PVA glue;
- thread with a needle.
Before making a model of the hut, prepare the base for the floor with your own hands. To do this, glue a sheet of cardboard painted with a stain here. Then it will seem like a plank floor. Using the same technology, you will make a table and bed. Connect the cardboard parts of the bed with glue, having previously covered them with a stain. Do the same with the table. Cover it with a cloth, you can sew lace to the tablecloth first. A bed cover is also made. Make pillows for her.
Roll these blanks out of strips of cardboard, which will look like logs. They will need to be glued together with a hot gun. Where there will be a window, use shorter details. Glue it here, after cutting it out of cardboard and decorating with gouache. Make beautiful curtains from lace.
Glue the icon to the corner, also decorating it with lace and beautiful fabric. Place a rug on the floor.
Such a mat can be made from a coarse canvas or knitted with your own hands. Attach a thread fringe around the edges.
To make a tub, wind strips of newspaper sheets onto a wooden skewer. Paint them and glue them together. Wrap a piece of wire with paper of the same color and use it to make a handle for this bucket.
The stove is made in a very interesting way. But you will see the tricks of its creation in the next master class.
How to make a model of a Russian stove?
This is an integral part of the Russian hut. Indeed, in the old days, with the help of a stove, they heated the room, but here they cooked. Upstairs are the beds, they slept on. The stove is also mentioned in many Russian fairy tales. And, having made this item, children will understand what it looks like:
- To make a stove, you first need to measure what size it will be. Then cut out the necessary parts from cardboard and glue them together. There are two of them. Bottom rectangle and top where the pipe will be.
- Make a combustion chamber. To do this, cut out here with a breadboard knife and attach the missing parts. A smaller hole must be made at the top of the stove.
- Now take the salted dough, roll it out and start gluing to a specific part. Use a paintbrush and water to make it look like a brick. With these simple tools, you will separate the pieces of dough from the finished oven so that they look like bricks.
- When the dough is dry, paint the oven with white gouache. And with a small amount of black, mark the soot near the brewing compartment.
- It remains to make a ladder out of skewers so that you can see how they climbed onto the stove.
Check out another master class and step-by-step photos to it, which will demonstrate how to make this item. In this case, the stove is large. It will be interesting for children to play around such. They will be able to put toy dishes in the cooking compartment and pretend that they are cooking. You can also make a door below to put firewood here.
Now attach the small one to the top of the large box. Do this with double-sided tape and regular tape. Cut out a semi-circular cooking compartment using a utility knife.
Take light wallpaper, paste over your work. When this layer dries, you need to glue the paper base a second time so that the drawings on the box do not shine through.
You will also glue light-colored or similar wallpaper, when the glue dries, then paint the flame with gouache. And dark paint will help create a firebox.
Draw some bricks with a pencil on the surface of the piece. Draw bricks separately on cardboard with a red marker and stick them around the hob. You can draw a cat curled up near the stove, mushrooms that are being dried here.
- Draw the pipe in red so that you can see that these are bricks. The kids will be happy to play here. You can also put other household items of an old hut so that the guys know how people lived in those days.
- Place a table here with a wide white tablecloth. You can drink tea with pies along with it. If you wish, make the stove in such a way that there is a passage here on the back side. To do this, take a large box, cut off the top and back wall.
- In the front at the top, attach a piece of cardboard that will become a pipe. Paste over your artwork with white Whatman paper or wallpaper of this color, then paint.
- The layout of the Russian hut may include a chest, which is also easy to make with your own hands.
- Put the spinning wheel here, put the yarn. Place several cast iron pots next to the stove on a bench. Then the children will have an idea of what the layout of the Russian hut looks like.
If you have an unsightly extension in your dacha, we suggest decorating it to make a stove. In the same way, you can hide the entrance to the basement of a brick or block house.
To do this, the surface of the walls must be whitewashed, and painted below with brown or red paint to make bricks. Place two painted tires on top, which will become flower beds. Craft your grandparents from straw, burlap, and fabric. Put a wooden spinning wheel here. Here is such an old corner then you will have right by your side.
If you need to make a stove for a performance, in order to create a model of a Russian hut, then watch another master class.
This is a kind of finished product. First, you will need to take 4 boxes of different sizes and glue them together to make 3 tiers of the stove and a high pipe. After that, you need to paste over them with white wallpaper. When the glue is dry, cover with acrylics of the same color. When it is dry, glue colorful tape around the edges of each box. You need to glue wood-colored wallpaper down so that they imitate the floor.
If there is no wallpaper of this color, then simply paint the bottom of the stove brown.
Sew a small blanket to fit here.
When you make the oven, on one side, the two middle boxes must be glued so that they are on a single plane. Then at the bottom you will cut a semicircular hole so that this is the brewing compartment. At the bottom, the hole is slightly smaller, put the sawn branches, as if it were firewood.
You can place a decorative samovar here. Attach a damper on top of the pipe, making it out of cardboard and pasting it with a self-adhesive black film. See details on how the combustion chamber is made.
Cover its sides with cardboard. You also need to make a partition. You will explain to the children that this section was in two parts. The front has no open fire. Here the pots and pans could stand, and the food they contained remained warm. Further there is a compartment where they put firewood and set it on fire to cook. You can make cast iron from corrugated cardboard. Cut a strip from it, twist it into a spiral, then pull out the top and bottom. Glue the tips. The grip is also made of corrugated cardboard. But this is only the upper part of it. Make the lower one from a wooden skewer or pencil and glue a cardboard blank here.
And if you need to make a Ukrainian oven for a competition or for other purposes, then watch another master class. It may require an old baby stroller that is no longer needed.
This work was timed to coincide with the competition, when the parade of strollers was held. The owners of this vehicle decided to dress up in national clothes and make a mobile stove. Cardboard boxes had to be found. Now you need to measure your stroller to know what size the stove will be. Prepare everything you need and proceed. In this case, the whole box was not found, but there were only fragments of this material. Therefore, they need to be sealed with tape.
Here's how to make a stove for a hut layout next. The stove consists of two sections. The photo below shows what details. Cut out where the shutter will be.
Now attach the pipe. This can be done with a stapler and double-sided tape. Cut the flap out of the cardboard. Put it in place.
Then you will need to glue the oven with Whatman paper. Then you can put embroidered towels, amulets, wooden spoons, a board, so that it is clear how the stove will look like.
But then it became clear that there were not enough drawings for this product. Using pencil and watercolors, apply them to the surface of the stove. Now you can put the decor items back on, install this product on the stroller and bring it to the place so conveniently. After all, if you need to make a stove for a performance, it is made at home and taken to a children's institution in this way.
DIY house layout
Watch another master class. From it you will learn how to make a house inside and outside, as well as a platform for it.
The layout of the hut is made of cardboard. For the roof, cut out two rectangles and glue them at the top with a strip of the same length. You will get a gable roof. It can be painted to match the tiles. Make a log house from a wide strip of cardboard, from which you need to create a square. Previously, you will paint it on the outside so that you can see that this is a log house.
Glue the wallpaper inside so that it also resembles a tree. Place your creation on the prepared area with a green sheet glued to it. Make a canopy over the entrance with cardboard. We will also make a Christmas tree from this material. You can paint light cardboard green or take material of this color. Also make a tree and attach it here.
Use the same material to make a well. Make some kind of logs out of colored cardboard and collect them. Take two sushi sticks. Saw off a part from one. Connect these two sticks with a metal chain to make a crane well. You can also place fruit trees here.
Now see how the hut layout looks like inside. It is interesting to create it with your own hands. Cover the floors with wood-like foil, make the oven out of cardboard. Make a mat out of brown cardboard, which you want to glue to a horizontal surface.
See how the layout of the house and yard looks from above. You can paint the track to be brown or glue on paper of this color. Glue some fruits cut from colored paper to the apple tree.
Make your home more comfortable. Glue curtains or tulle to the windows. You can also fence off the stove area in the living room. Make a cardboard bed, put bedding in here. Examine the table. Put on a samovar, and a child can mold plates and food from plasticine, like a chest, small household items.
If you need the most reliable model of the hut, then make a canopy here, which was a kind of corridor at the entrance to the house. Make a wall of cardboard, glue it over with self-adhesive tape, cut out the doors that will open.
Here's how to make a hut mockup. See how others are doing this kind of work.
You can make it out of paper, as the heroine of the next video does.
