Finishing the bath with an unedged board involves preliminary cleansing of the bark, which can be done with an electric planer, and requires high-quality grinding of the material. Use 80 sandpaper first, then 120.
Creation of a frame for fixing boards in a bath
For the construction of the lathing, use wooden blocks. Treat them with antibacterial agent before installation. Select the section individually, based on the thickness of the insulation. Cut into pieces 100 cm and 50 cm long.
Place the metal hangers in rows at intervals of 30-40 cm. Pay attention to the distance between the rows - it should be 40-50 cm. Mark the places on the walls for mounting metal hangers. Drill holes, drive in dowels and fix the hangers.

Before sheathing the bath with a board, you should install heat and vapor barrier. Place thermal insulation material between the rows of the frame. For these purposes, mineral wool is often used, but it rather poorly tolerates conditions of high humidity. Foam glass is ideal - this material is not afraid of moisture, insulates the room well and creates good sound insulation. When using foam glass, a vapor barrier is not needed. But if you are used to doing everything according to the rules, you can install a vapor barrier. Let her canvases overlap and glue together with tape.
If necessary, cut the planks to the desired length. The material should be fixed to the prepared frame using finishing nails or special clamps. The advantage of the latter is that they are not visible. The installation of boards for the bath room must be done vertically or diagonally so that the water does not stagnate with the strips of honey, but flows down. In this case, the frame bars should be perpendicular to the boards.
The finishing starts from the corner. Set the first plank with a cut into a corner and secure. After that, move along the perimeter of the room to be finished. Pick up the finishing board in the docking corner in width and cut to size. At the end, do not forget to apply a protective layer of a specialized composition (varnish, stain, oil, protective wax) to the boards.
