A modern method - mashed potatoes are made from tubers, which are formed with chips. In addition, such a product can be easily made on your own at home, and it is much more useful.
Do not forget that during the preparation of industrial chips, due to frying them in vegetable oil, harmful substances are formed. Therefore, you should not get carried away with the use of this product. You can cook chips without vegetable oil using a microwave oven. To do this, you need to have a grater to get thin slices. The resulting chips in the microwave oven are not so harmful, because there is no oil.

Despite the fact that chips are an independent product, they are added to various dishes, incl. and salads. Ingredients:
- Potatoes - 1 pc. (large tuber)
- Tomatoes - 1 pc. (big size)
- Processed cheese - 100 g
- Eggs - 1 pc.
- Pitted olives - 100 g
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Mayonnaise - for dressing
- Salt - a pinch
How to make a salad with homemade chips:
1. Peel the potatoes, wash and cut into thin slices about 3 mm thick. Place them in a bowl of water and let sit for 5 minutes for the starch to come out. Then transfer to a glass baking sheet in the microwave and season with salt and pepper.
2. Send the potatoes to the microwave, where they cook for 5-8 minutes, depending on the power of the appliance.
3. Wash the tomato, dry it and cut into cubes. Cut the melted cheese into medium-sized pieces. Place food in a deep bowl.
4. Dip the eggs in cold water and boil until a cool consistency for 10 minutes. Transfer them to ice water and leave to cool completely. Then peel them and cut them into pieces, which are sent to a bowl with food.
5. Break the chips into pieces and send them to the salad bowl. Season the food with salt and pass the peeled garlic clove through a press.
6. Pour in mayonnaise and stir well.
7. Serve the salad on a wide platter and garnish with olive halves. If desired, the olives can be mixed into the salad with all the ingredients.
