For many, the question "how to cook buckwheat porridge" seems strange. Since for experienced housewives this is not a complicated matter. But in fact, this dish, like any other, has cooking secrets. It is especially difficult for a beginner to cope with this task. Then this article will be of help. Let's figure out how to cook crumbly buckwheat, and what is needed for this.
- First, you should measure the right amount of cereal. This is a responsible business, because after cooking, it will become two or even more times more. For example, one glass is enough for 3 people.
- To make the porridge tasty, it should be sorted out. Otherwise, the crunch of a pebble or other foreign body will be felt on the teeth.
- Be sure to rinse the groats so that small floating debris is washed away. This should be done 3-4 times.
- For aroma, and most importantly, so that the porridge is crumbly, calcine the cereal in a dry frying pan. Fry it until the grains begin to crackle. This process takes 5 minutes.
- You can cook porridge on the stove, in a microwave oven, multicooker, double boiler or oven. For all these devices, pre-frying the cereal is required so that the porridge is crumbly.
- For cooking, take a thick-bottomed pan so that it does not burn, and for the oven - clay pots so that it languishes.
- Pour the cereals with clean and filtered water, which should be twice as much as the cereals. That is, for one glass of cereal - two glasses of water. Mixed water will give the porridge a different taste than you expect.
- If the water is hard, chlorinated, not filtered, then fill the cereal with boiled water with the addition of 1 tbsp. vegetable or butter, or add 4 tbsp. milk. These will soften the water and improve the taste of the porridge.
- Bring porridge to a boil over high heat. Then simmer. Rather, it is not cooked, but languishes under the lid. Do not open the lid or door of the oven or microwave to avoid losing steam.
- After 20, turn off the stove. But the porridge will not be completely ready yet. Wrap it up with a warm blanket and leave to evaporate for half an hour.
