Today for lunch I propose a sumptuous dish - buckwheat porridge with chicken drumstick. This is a great option for a hearty and healthy lunch or dinner. The food turns out to be juicy, satisfying, and not at all dry or insipid. Buckwheat is fragrant, crumbly, saturated with chicken juice and fat, with a rich taste. In addition, a chicken leg is attached to it, tender, soft, literally melting in your mouth - just delicious! Therefore, you do not need to cook anything additionally for a side dish. Ingredients:
- Chicken drumstick - 1 pc.
- Salt - 0.5 tsp or to taste
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon for frying
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Buckwheat - 50 g
Step by step cooking buckwheat porridge with chicken drumstick, recipe with photo:
1. Pour vegetable oil into a skillet, saucepan or deep-bottomed saucepan and heat.
2. Wash the chicken leg and dry well with a paper towel. Put it in a bowl with hot oil, salt and pepper and fry until golden brown. Chicken drumsticks are tastier and juicier if cooked with the skin. But for health it will be more useful if you remove the skin and cook the legs with buckwheat without it. Therefore, it is up to the cook to remove the skin or not.
3. Pour drinking water into a saucepan to cover the chicken by 1 finger, bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
4. Sort the buckwheat thoroughly, rinse, changing the water several times, because pebbles sometimes come across in cereals, and pour into a stewpan to the meat.
5. Pour in drinking water so that it covers 1.5 cm of the cereal.
6. Season the buckwheat with salt, cover and boil. Reduce the temperature to the lowest setting and cook buckwheat porridge with chicken drumstick for 15 minutes. When buckwheat absorbs all the water, expands and becomes soft, turn off the heat. Leave it covered for 10 minutes, then stir and serve.
