- Cooking time - 1 hour 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- Flour - 450 g
- Honey - 4-5 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil - 30 ml
- Eggs - 2 pcs.
- Butter - 30 g
- Soda - 1 tsp without slide
- Kefir - 200 ml
- Salt - a pinch
Step-by-step preparation of honey cake on kefir, recipe with photo:
1. Pour eggs at room temperature into a container for kneading dough. Therefore, remove them from the refrigerator in advance.
2. Beat the eggs with a mixer until a thick lemon-colored foam is formed.
3. Pour kefir over the eggs and mix well. Kefir should be at room temperature for it to react properly with baking soda. Since when soda comes in contact with cold fermented milk products, it will not loosen or lift baked goods.
4. Add vegetable oil and melted butter to the dough. Stir the liquid ingredients until smooth.
5. Melt honey in a water bath, if it is very dense, and add to the dough.
6. Stir the food until smooth.
7. Pour flour sifted through a fine sieve into the dough so that it is enriched with oxygen, and the cake becomes softer and softer.
8. Use a mixer to knead the dough well so that there are no lumps and add baking soda, which you spray over the dough, and do not put in one lump. So there is a risk that it will not be evenly distributed throughout the test.
9. Line a baking dish with parchment paper or brush with a thin layer of butter and pour out the dough. If you use a silicone mold, then you can not cover it with anything or lubricate it. Heat the oven to 180 degrees and send the honey cake on kefir to bake for 40 minutes. Check its readiness by piercing a wooden stick in the middle of baking. It must be dry without sticking. If there are lumps of dough stuck on it, then bake the cake for another 5 minutes and check the readiness again. Leave the finished product in the form until it cools completely, because hot, it is very fragile and can break. Spread icing on the chilled muffin if desired.
