Many people love donuts, but refuse them, because, for example, during the fast, animal products should be avoided, namely milk and eggs are part of the butter dough from which this dessert is prepared. We will help housewives to cope with such a situation, because the donuts that we propose to bake will be prepared from their lean yeast dough - which means that such a delicacy can be served even during fasting.

Step by step cooking lean yeast donuts in a pan with a photo
1. We follow the confectioners' rule, which states that dry ingredients should always be combined separately from wet ones. Therefore, mix sugar, salt and dry yeast in a deep bowl.
2. Pour a glass of warm, but not hot water, stir, leave for 10-15 minutes to let the yeast bloom.
3. When a foam forms on the surface, this will mean that the reaction has begun and the yeast is working. Drive in the egg and add the sifted flour.
4. Knead the yeast dough. It should be very soft and tender. Do not hammer the dough, it should still be slightly sticky. Cover it with a clean towel and let stand for 15-20 minutes. During this time, the dough will do.
5. Knead the dough that has come up and split the layer. If you want the donuts to turn out very thick, the thickness of the rolled dough should be 2–2.5 cm. We were curious how the donuts would rise if the dough was rolled out thin enough, no thicker than a centimeter. Cut out the molds from the dough with a glass or a cup, or even a glass, if you plan to get mini donuts.
6. Remove the excess dough, transfer the donut blanks to a cutting board or plate and let the mugs come up in a warm place, for example, near the stove, for about 15 minutes.
7. Pour a glass of refined vegetable oil into a skillet. When it warms up well, gently dip the dough into it and fry the donuts on both sides until the sides are golden brown. Fry over medium heat, do not let the oil burn.
8. Put the fried donuts on paper napkins - we don't need extra fat.
9. Sprinkle still warm yeast donuts with icing sugar and serve. Great tea is guaranteed! For donut toppings lovers, fill the latter with jam or chocolate using a cooking syringe, or simply cut the donut halfway in half and place some jam in the middle.
10. Pan-fried yeast lean donuts are ready. A delicious and delicate dessert will delight you even during fasting. Enjoy your tea.
