Cabbage in tomato juice will remain crispy, retain its taste, retain vitamins and acquire juiciness. You can use fresh chopped tomatoes or tomato paste instead of tomato juice. Take fleshy tomatoes, medium-sized cabbage, and a little ketchup can be added to the tomato sauce for taste.

Step by step cooking stewed cabbage in tomato juice, recipe with photo:
1. Remove the top leaves from the cabbage. they are usually dirty. Wash the head of cabbage under running water, dry with a paper towel and chop into thin strips.
2. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, heat and send cabbage into it. There will be a lot of it, but do not worry, because during the extinguishing time, it will decrease in volume by more than two times.
3. Over medium heat, stirring occasionally, fry the cabbage. Bring it to a light golden hue.
4. When the cabbage is slightly softer, add the tomato juice to the skillet. Season it with salt and black pepper.
5. Stir the cabbage so that the tomato juice is evenly distributed throughout the cabbage.
6. Cover the pan with a lid, turn on low heat and simmer cabbage in tomato juice until soft and brown. Depending on your taste, you can simmer it for about one hour to keep it crispy. If you like stewed cabbage with a soft consistency, cook it for 1, 5 hours. It can be served both warm and cold.
