Ingredients:
- White cabbage - 0.5 heads of cabbage
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Potatoes - 2 pcs.
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Tomato juice - 200 ml
Step by step cooking stewed cabbage with potatoes and tomato juice, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the white cabbage, dry it with a paper towel, and if the upper inflorescences are dirty, remove them. Then chop the head of cabbage into thin strips.
2. Peel the carrots, wash and cut into thin strips or grate on a coarse grater.
3. Peel the potatoes, wash and cut into cubes.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and add cabbage. Fry the food over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about 5-10 minutes.
5. Add the carrots to the skillet with the cabbage.
6. Stir and continue to fry food for another 5-10 minutes.
7. Add potatoes to vegetables. If you want a more satisfying dish, double the amount of potatoes.
8. After 10 minutes, season the food with salt and black pepper and pour over the tomato juice.
9. Stir the ingredients, cover the pan with a lid, turn the heat to the minimum setting and simmer the cabbage with potatoes and tomato juice for 1 hour. Serve hot food after cooking.
