Ingredients:
- White cabbage - 0.5 medium-sized cabbage
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Dried garlic powder - 0.5 tsp
- Hops-suneli - 0.5 tsp
- Dried green onion powder - 0.5 tsp
- Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 tsp no slide or to taste
Step by step cooking stewed cabbage with carrots in tomato, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the cabbage under running water. Remove the top leaves, because they are usually dirty and chop into thin strips.
2. Peel the carrots, wash and dry. Grate it on a coarse grater or cut into small cubes or strips.
3. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat. Put the cabbage into it and hold it under a closed lid over medium heat so that condensation forms. Bring the temperature down to the lowest setting and simmer for about half an hour.
4. Add the carrots to the skillet and season the cabbage with salt.
5. Stir the cabbage with the carrots and continue to simmer over medium heat for another half hour.
6. Season hop-suneli cabbage, dried garlic powder, dried green onion powder and black pepper. Stir.
7. Add the tomato paste to the skillet.
8. Stir the food, cover the pan with a lid and simmer the cabbage and carrots in the tomato over low heat for 15-20 minutes until tender. Serve the finished dish hot or chilled. it is delicious, anyone. You can also use stewed cabbage for filling in dumplings, pies, pies, pancakes, etc.
