Today, Warsaw coffee is the hallmark of any Polish cafe. But such a delicious, aromatic and strong drink can be prepared at home on your own. The recipe has a two-century history, during which it has been modified and today there are several variations of it. An example of one of them is given in this material.

The basis of making Warsaw-style coffee is espresso coffee, which can be brewed both in a minimum amount of water and immediately in milk. In the first version, ready-made espresso coffee is poured into a cup and heated sweet baked milk is added. The drink is brewed only from natural coffee, it cannot be replaced with instant coffee. Natural coffee beans are ground immediately before preparation so that they have a brighter and richer aroma that the soluble counterpart does not have. Polish coffee should be served with small sandwiches, biscuits, cookies, berries, fruits, or you can put sweets on the table.

1. Pour milk into a Turk and heat over medium heat until frothy, ie. almost to a boil. If coffee is immersed in a boiling liquid, then it will not have time to fully reveal its properties.

The classic Warsaw-style drink is brewed with baked milk, which brings certain notes of aroma to the coffee. But you can also use ordinary milk, but it is better not to use boiled milk so that pieces of foam do not get into the coffee.

2. Remove the turkey from the heat and add pre-ground freshly ground coffee and sugar. For Warsaw coffee, it is preferable to use medium-ground beans, because filter it before tasting. Finely ground coffee may remain in the beverage.
