Ingredients:
- Celery - 300-350 g
- White cabbage - 250 g
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Tomato - 1 pc.
- Lentils - 3-4 tablespoons
- Salt - a pinch (but it is advisable not to put salt for the dietary menu)
- Bay leaf - 3 pcs.
- Allspice peas - 4-5 pcs.
- Ground black pepper - pinch or to taste
Making celery soup
1. Remove the top inflorescences from the cabbage. they are always dirty. Cut off the necessary part from the head of cabbage, wash and chop finely.
2. Peel the carrots, wash and cut into small cubes, or grate on a coarse grater.
3. Peel the onions, wash and chop finely.
4. Since the celery root is almost always sold in large size, cut off the part you need from the root vegetable, and peel it from the thick rind. Cut out any dark spots down to white fiber, wash the vegetable and cut into cubes about 1 cm.
5. Wash the tomato and cut it into cubes, but slightly larger, about 2 cm. the product is softer than the rest of the ingredients and will cook much faster.
6. Put all vegetables in a saucepan, put lentils, bay leaves, peppercorns, season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Fill everything with drinking water and place the pot on the stove. Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce the temperature and cook the soup for about 30 minutes until cooked through.
8. Serve hot soup with rye croutons or bread.
