Ingredients:
- Flour - 250 g
- Butter - 100 g
- Egg - 1 pc.
- Honey - 3 tablespoons
- Ginger powder - 2 tsp
- Salt - a pinch
- Baking soda - 1 tsp without top
Cooking Christmas gingerbread
1. Place flour, salt, baking soda and ginger powder in a mixing bowl. You can use fresh ginger root instead of ginger powder. To do this, clean it and beat it with a blender or grate it on a fine grater.
2. Stir in flour and ginger.
3. In a bowl, combine egg, room temperature butter and honey. Stir the food until it becomes a homogeneous mass. This can be done with a mixer or simply knead with a fork.
4. Pour the egg-oil mass into the flour mass.
5. Stir the dough to distribute the food evenly. The dough will be quite soft. Therefore, cover it with cling film and send it to the refrigerator for half an hour. During this time, it will harden a little and then it will be easy to work with it.
6. After this time, take a portion of the dough and roll it into a ball, which you put on parchment paper.
7. Press down on the bun with your hands so that it crushes and takes the shape of a gingerbread. Place the products at a short distance from each other, because when baking, the gingerbread will increase in size.
