Step-by-step preparation of sweets from nuts and dried apricots in chocolate, recipe with photo:
1. Peel the walnuts or buy already peeled kernels. If desired, pierce them first in a clean, dry skillet. Then they will have a more expressive aroma and taste.
2. Place the walnuts in a chopper and crush them. If there is no such device, put the nuts in a bag and roll them with a rolling pin so that they are detailed.
3. Transfer the nut crumbs to a deep bowl in which you will cook the nuts.
4. Wash dried apricots and dry with a paper towel. If it is very hard and dense, pre-fill it with hot water and leave for 10 minutes. It will be saturated with moisture and become soft. Then dry the dried apricots well with a paper napkin. Place in a chopper and puree. You can also twist dried apricots through a meat grinder.
5. Send the prepared dried apricots to a container with crushed nuts.
6. Stir the walnuts with dried apricots. This is best done with your hands so that the mass becomes homogeneous. To prevent the food from sticking to your hands, dampen it with water.
7. Then form the candy with wet hands. They can be of any shape you like best: round, oval, square, etc.
8. Break the chocolate into pieces and place in a bowl.
9. Melt the chocolate to a liquid consistency, taking care not to boil. This can be done in the microwave or steam bath.
10. Dip prepared candies into melted chocolate.
11. Swirl the chocolate-coated candies until they are evenly coated on all sides.
12. Place the chocolate-covered nuts and dried apricots on baking parchment or food foil and refrigerate for half an hour to freeze the chocolate.
