The spice successfully fights microbes, protects against bacteria, stimulates the production of saliva, and is generally very useful for the body. Therefore, the hostesses harvest green onions for future use: they freeze and dry. Today we'll talk about how to make ground dried green onions. And what is important, the properties of this dried product are preserved in the maximum amount in their original form. Dried onions are in no way inferior to fresh products in their gastronomic qualities.
This dehydrated supplement will help out well during the cold season, especially when fresh feathers are problematic. You can add homemade dried green onions to any dishes where the recipe for using fresh feathers is provided: meat, fish or vegetable dishes. The exception to the rule is fresh vegetable salads, in which dried spice will be inappropriate. The process of harvesting dried green onions at home is not difficult. It is important to get good quality green onions: the feathers should be firm, fresh and bright in color. This is more caustic. 1. Wash green onions under running water and dry well with a paper towel. You can leave it on the counter to dry naturally. Then chop it finely. Although it is not necessary to cut it, because in the future, it will be crushed. Simply cut it will dry faster.
2. Spread the green onions evenly on a baking sheet.
3. Send it to a heated oven up to 70 degrees and dry until completely dry. Check the readiness as follows. Take dried onions in your hands and rub with your fingers. If it crumbles, then it is ready.
4. Transfer the dried green onions to a chopper, coffee grinder, or food processor. You can also use a blender.
5. Grind the workpiece to a powder state. Transfer the prepared ground dried green onions to an airtight, clean and dry container and store until next summer.
