Chukovsky's books can be read to children from infancy. When the children grow up, together with them make crafts based on the tales of this great writer. Kornei Ivanovich Chukovsky is a remarkable poet and writer "for all time." Introduce the children to his works, make crafts together to arouse children's interest in the work of the children's writer. Tell the younger generation about him, for this, get acquainted with the facts from the life of Korney Ivanovich.
Chukovsky K. I. - biography
His work is diverse, therefore Korney Ivanovich is called a children's writer, journalist, Russian Soviet poet, publicist, translator, literary critic, literary critic.
But the real name of the writer is Nikolai Korneichukov, and Korney Chukovsky is a literary pseudonym. He was born in St. Petersburg in 1882 on March 19 (31). The mother of the future writer, a peasant woman, Ekaterina Osipovna Korneichukova, was a servant in the family of his father Emmanuel Solomonovich Levenson.
As they say now, they lived in a civil marriage, it was not officially registered. Nikolay is the second child in this family. Marusya was born before him. After three years of civil marriage, the father left this "illegal family" and married a woman who was from "his circle."
The mother of the future writer moved with her children to Odessa. Here and in Nikolaev he spent his childhood.
Korey Ivanovich began his creative activity in the newspaper "Odessa News", for which he wrote articles. Then he married Maria Borisovna Goldfeld and together with her in 1903 left for London as a correspondent for "Odessa News".
Chukovsky independently learned English from a self-instruction manual, was the only English-speaking in the publishing house, so he was sent to work in London. The reporter was promised a lot of money for those times - 100 rubles a month. This trip contributed to the further development of the writer, because here he was able to read the books of English writers in the original Chukovsky, the biography of the writer was replenished by the fact that he studied the works of Thackeray and Dickens.
But upon his arrival in Odessa at the end of 1904, even more global events awaited him - the 1905 revolution.
Korey Ivanovich seriously took up criticism and after the 1917 revolution published two books - about Mayakovsky and Akhmatova, about Blok. At the same time, he began a long-term work about Nekrasov, his favorite poet. And in 1908 he published works about Chekhov, Blok, Balmont, Bryusov, Kuprin, Sergeev-Tsensky, Artsybashev, Gorky, Merezhkovsky, etc.
Root Ivanovich Chukovsky wrote his first fairy tale "Crocodile" in 1916. And "Cockroach" and "Moidodyr" published in 1923. A year later, a poetic work for children "Barmaley" was published.
In the early 1930s, Korney Ivanovich became interested in the study of child psychology, how they learn to speak, and wrote the book "From two to five".
In the 60s, Chukovsky decided to write a Bible for children. But at that time, the authorities carried out anti-religious propaganda, and the project did not materialize. At first he was told not to write the words "God", "Jews" in the book. Korney Ivanovich replaced the word "God" with "The Magician of Yahweh".
The book was printed, but did not see the light of day, since the entire circulation of the authorities destroyed. This is what Chukovsky went through, whose biography is full of drama. After all, he lost his beloved daughter Masha, who died in childhood. The writer often mentions her in his works, calling her Murochka.
In addition to her, the poet had a daughter, Lydia, who also became a writer. Son - translator and prose writer - Nikolai and son Boris, who died during the Great Patriotic War.
Streets were named in memory of the great writer, monuments were erected to him and the heroes of his works in different cities. An asteroid is named in honor of "Chukocolla".
How to make a miracle tree from the work of Chukovsky?
Now that you have found out yourself and told the children about the biography of Chukovsky, learn his poems together. To make them better remembered, during the creative process, make a miracle tree with the children.
To do it, prepare:
- thick wire;
- salty dough;
- paints;
- thin tape;
- artificial moss;
- glue;
- green corrugated paper;
- scissors;
- trimming or pencil;
- brush.
Help your child twist the base of the tree out of the wire - a trunk with branches. At the bottom of it, make a thickening like a stand. Make a salty dough. Have the child cover the entire tree with this material. In this case, the trunk at the bottom should be thicker. From the same dough, let the child fashion shoes, thread ribbons into the holes, and tie those.
From corrugated paper, he will cut into rectangles with a side of 2 cm. Winding the blanks onto a pencil, make trimming out of them. Attach those to the branches as leaves.
Now you need to let the dough dry completely, only then paint the wood and shoes. The child will do it with pleasure.
Glue moss down to the base or paint the trunk circle green. You can mold a cat from the dough, put it under the miracle tree.
Fly Tsokotukha - handicraft, volumetric applique, costumes
Read the lines from this work to children from infancy that the children developed well. When they can speak, they will repeat the lines after you. For them to memorize them, make together a character from a fairy tale in verse - Tsokotukhu fly.
Craft
You can create one in just 15 minutes from junk material using egg cartons. Here is a complete list of what you need:
- egg cartons - 2 pcs.;
- gouache;
- colored cardboard;
- wire cords;
- scissors;
- pom-poms;
- ready-made eyes;
- glue gun;
- brush.
Have the child turn over the egg cell and paint the individual elements with different colors of gouache.
Now he will cut off the excess.
The flagella will twist so as to give them the shape of wings: round, triangular, square, with a heart.
To attach them to cardboard blanks, make yourself 3 pairs of holes opposite each other in those.
Here you need to thread and fasten the legs. The eyes are glued to the pom-poms, and these blanks are glued to the Tsokotukhe fly's head. Glue the wings on the back.
Hot gun silicone rods are very hot. To prevent the child from getting burned, glue the elements yourself, and he will watch and learn. It turned out a wonderful craft, Tsokotukha fly, or rather, several characters at once. Children can also create a volumetric applique. This type of needlework is suitable for younger kindergarten age.
Volumetric application
If the children are small, draw them with a simple pencil the elements of the future picture. Prepare the following materials with them:
- paper napkins;
- cotton pads or cotton wool;
- glue;
- dark yarn;
- colored and plain pencils;
- colored cardboard.
Draw with a pencil on cardboard:
- tsokotuhu;
- samovar;
- trees;
- cobweb;
- mosquito, other guests.
First, read to the children this fairy tale in verse, which is called "Tsokotukha Fly". When the children have a good memory of the plot and characters, start creating with them. Show the children how to cut green napkins into small squares, and then crush them with your fingers and stick them instead of leaves on the tree.
Then they will do it themselves. Instead of apples, you can also glue crumpled pieces of napkins, but pink. Let them paint the tree trunk with a brown pencil, paint the samovar with yellow. They will make a basket of flowers out of napkins, because Tsokotukha has a birthday.
When all the characters are colored, show the child how to glue the yarn to make a spider web. The spider needs to be drawn on cardboard, cut out and glued to a web of threads.
To make the clouds, have the children roll cotton pads or cotton balls into circles. fill in the pencil sketch of the clouds. All that remains is to place the volumetric applique in the frame and hang it in the most conspicuous place.
Tsokotukha fly costume
If you need to quickly make a Tsokotukha fly outfit, put on a yellow blouse, a black skirt and a dark beret on your child. You need to make 2 holes in it, insert black antennae made of soft wire here.
All that remains is to make the wings. Here are 2 options for making them.
Option number 1
Cut the wings out of the white mesh. Turn the edges over, sew to leave a small gap on all sides. Insert the wire here, shape the wings.
Option number 2
It is suitable for those who do not have a sewing machine.
For these you will need:
- pink nylon;
- aluminum wire;
- gray marker;
- pink satin ribbon;
- scissors.
Bend the wire to shape the wings. Cut out 2 wings along its outline. Lay them on a wire, fold the bottom of the fabric, hem on all sides on your hands. Draw the veins of the wings on the nylon with a gray marker. Cut out the straps from the satin ribbon, sew them to the wings so that the child can put them on like a backpack.
You can sew a piece of white fur to one and the second wing to connect them at the top and decorate. And of course Mukha-Tsokotukha needs to make the "money" that she found. To do this, take:
- cardboard;
- foil;
- glue;
- scissors;
- marker or wooden stick.
Cut a circle out of cardboard, apply glue to it. Attach the foil on top by gluing it. Write with a marker that this is 5 kopecks or do it with a wooden skewer, carefully slide it over the foil to mark the letters and numbers you need.
You can also complement the Tsokotukha fly costume with such a mask on the head.
To do this, cut 2 strips out of black paper - one along the volume of the head, the second will be located transversely. Leave some margin for gluing the ends. Cut 2 eye circles out of gray paper. Using a ruler and black felt-tip pen, apply a mesh to them. Glue these "eyes" to the base.
Experienced craftswomen can sew a tsokotukha fly costume.
Would need:
- black fabric;
- silver jersey;
- silk ribbon;
- braid;
- wire;
- white organza or tulle.
Sew the silver linen trim in front, and make a bow out of it. Gathered organza strips or silk ribbon are sewn to the bottom of the sleeves and hem. Also, these places need to be decorated with braid.
The wings are created in the same way as described above, but there is a braid trim along the edge. It remains to put on the girl white tights, black lacquered dolls, and the character's image is created.
With the help of a fishing line, you can create amazing outfits, including the Tsokotukha fly costume. If you make wide ruffles, tuck them on all sides along the edge and insert them into the resulting drawstring, then you get beautiful flounces. You can do it in a different way, using knitted fabric. It is overcast around the edges with an overlock, it is smoothed, and ruffles are obtained.
It remains to supplement them with wings. Enlarge the next template or transfer it to large-sized paper.
If you own a crochet hook, then you can knit a tsokotuhi fly costume using this tool. Cosmetic makeup will complement the look.
Here is an example of a Tsokotukha fly costume made of black and yellow fabric. On the head there are cardboard eyes. A mesh is applied to them, then they are glued to a paper strip, the antennae of wire are fixed here.
Her image can also be made from paper or newspaper tubes.
They are painted when it dries, the blanks are folded in various knots to create a fly from a fairy tale. Use the same material to make a samovar that the fly bought at the bazaar.
Children can make it out of plasticine. To play a puppet show, they blind characters from this material, attach wooden skewers to them. Holding for those, they will teach the heroes to move.
All this is folded into a wire basket, and its sides are braided with thread.
"Doctor Aibolit" by Korney Chukovsky - hand-made articles
Children will also know this work of K. I. Chukovsky if you make a thematic craft together with them.
For this you need:
- cardboard box from under the shoes;
- plasticine;
- white cardboard;
- cotton wool;
- felt;
- maple seeds;
- glue gun;
- bandage;
- toothpicks or wooden sticks;
- wrapping paper or wallpaper;
- dye.
How the doctor aibolit is done pictures show.
The master class will tell you about two options for creating it. For the first, cut a triangle out of white cardboard, roll it up with a cone, glue the sides to each other. Let the child draw the doctor's facial features with a felt-tip pen, glue cotton wool in the form of a beard and hair. He will roll up a strip of cardboard, draw a red cross on it, glue this hat on Aibolit's head.
You can sew it and a headdress made of felt, embroider a red cross, facial features, glue cotton wool, which will become a beard and mustache.
Cover the box with wrapping paper or a piece of wallpaper. Glue on this skeleton Aibolit, tree branches with seeds. Attach the bug sticker to the twig. Indeed, according to the plot, not only large animals, but also bugs and spiders came to the good doctor for treatment. Repeat the lines of the tale, making crafts with the child so that he remembers them well.
He will gladly make a fox, which also used the services of a fabulous doctor. The body is a bump, but which you need to glue the head, ears, tail, paws from orange plasticine, and make a bunny out of white.
Cut the wood sticks to the same length. Paint them or top-cut toothpicks. Glue or stick this fence picket. Decorate it with a flower.
Use wooden sticks to make a bunny stool. Glue a dyed ice cream stick to the “tree”, this sign says “Limpopo”.
When the good doctor Aibolit arrives there, he will be greeted by African animals. Among them is an ostrich. The child will make his body from a foam ball, to which he will stick his neck, head, paws from plasticine, wings - from maple seeds, and legs - painted wooden sticks. You need to tie a bandage around your neck, as the ostrich is sick.
It is not difficult to mold a giraffe from plasticine, looking at a photo clue.
You can make a fairy tale craft in two parts. Place one Aibolit on the left side, and the second on the right. Near the first there are domestic animals, next to the other - African ones. Then glue the shells on the ocean shore from where the shark comes out.
If you need to play the play "Doctor Aibolit", you can use the available soft toys of the child - these are animal characters. You can turn a doll into a doctor by making the appropriate make-up and sewing clothes.
Other tales of Chukovsky
Cockroach
This is another fairy tale in the poetry of the great writer. Drawing is a great way to remember her. The work will be even more interesting if the child glues a plastic fork and a knife to the hands of this negative hero.
You can use the quilling technique to create another piece based on Chukovsky's tale. The rest of the details are being drawn.
The next craft will teach the children their first sewing skills. For it use:
- fairly dense fabric;
- synthetic winterizer;
- soft wire;
- cardboard;
- glue.
Head and body - one-piece. You will need 2 identical fluffy brown fabric pieces. Stitch around the edges, leaving a clear space on top. Insert a synthetic winterizer through it, sew, having previously inserted 2 wire antennae here. Make the front and hind legs out of it, put their upper tips into the side seam, sew.
The paws are made of fabric, they look like house slippers.
Cut the nose out of burgundy cloth, glue it to the insect's face, and on it - white eyes, and black cardboard pupils.
Here is such a soft and fluffy, and not at all scary character of the fairy tale "Cockroach" came out.
After this story, you can tell the children another.
Stolen Sun
This poem begins with the crocodile swallowing the sun. Read these lines to the children and show how to make a craft for which you need to use:
- green cardboard;
- pink colored paper;
- 2 wooden sticks;
- black felt-tip pen;
- glue.
For crafts, you can take wooden skewers for kebabs or sticks for sushi. Sharp tips are cut off skewers. The front and back of the alligator are cut out of green paper. Circles are drawn on these details - a pattern on the skin. Eyes are depicted on the face. Cut 2 strips out of colored paper. Put 2 sticks between them, glue the paper, fold with an accordion. Holding the skewers, you can change the size of the crocodile, making it larger or smaller.
But then the bear helped return the sun to the animals. Have the children show this moment on paper. The daylight can be portrayed in a very interesting way, dipping one side of a matchbox in paint, it is leaned against the paper in a circle, making rays.
Confusion
A good crocodile helped put out the fire, however, with pies, salted mushrooms and pancakes. Such a funny picture can also be created by children's hands. Invite them to make an implication on cardboard from paper or from fabric using felt.
Moidodyr
Another fairy tale by Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky. Kids will love making a cleanliness fighter out of a rectangular yogurt container. Here's what you need:
- a jar of yogurt;
- plasticine;
- a sheet of blue cardboard;
- scissors;
- cotton wool.
Have the child cut a piece of cardboard to the size of the middle of the jar, but with enough space to fold the edges and place it in the container. This is water. To make foam, you need to roll balls of cotton wool or create them from white plasticine. From this mass, but of a different color, the child will mold the legs, the crane, the facial features of the hero. Will stick it all in place. It is easy to form a bar of soap from pink plasticine, and from a mass of a different color - a bottle of shampoo.
And here is another Moidodyr. The craft is created in an interesting way. Take:
- 2 small cardboard boxes of different sizes;
- PVA or other glue;
- colored paper;
- tow;
- felt-tip pens;
- scissors;
- handkerchief or fabric;
- plastic bowl for toys.
Both boxes need to be pasted over with colored paper, a small one in white, and a large one, for example, green.
Have a child draw a cabinet door and handles on the large side of a green box, and a sink on top, or make it out of light-colored paper and glue it up. White box is the face of Moidodyr. Drawn on it: eyes, a crane mouth, stern eyebrows, a nose. Now glue this light box on the green one, on the end.
Sew a towel from the fabric or put a handkerchief on the hero's shoulder. Place a basin on the other. And if you need a Moidodyr costume for a matinee, you will also create it from cardboard boxes.
Here are some crafts you can make according to the tales of K. I. Chukovsky. To keep the little ones interested, show them cartoons based on the books of the children's writer. As you watch fun stories, craft crafts together.
