- Cooking time - 1 hour 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- Margarine or butter - 200 g
- Salt - a pinch
- Wheat flour - 400 g
- Baking soda - 0.5 tsp
- Eggs - 2 pcs.
Step by step preparation of sand baskets, recipe with photo:
1. Place the slicer attachment in a food processor and place the contents of two eggs.
2. Chilled margarine (not frozen and not at room temperature) cut into slices and place in the bowl of a food processor.
3. Pour flour, baking soda and salt into the food processor.
4. Knead an elastic dough so that it does not stick to the sides of the bowl. If you don't have a food processor, use your hands to knead the dough. But then do everything quickly, because shortbread dough does not like the warmth of the hands and long kneading. Under the influence of heat, the oil begins to melt, which negatively affects the structure of the finished baked goods.
5. Remove the dough from the food processor and divide it into several pieces, which can be rolled into a ball.
6. Place the dough in a plastic bag and refrigerate for half an hour or freezer for 15 minutes.
7. Then roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a layer about 3-5 mm thick.
8. Place the dough sheet in the basket tins and smooth it over the sides. Cut off excess dough around the edge. Send the products to be baked in a heated oven to 180 degrees for 15 minutes. When the sand baskets are golden brown, remove them from the brazier. Cool the baskets in the mold, and only then remove them. Because they are very fragile when hot and can break.
