Sand baskets - this sweetness, familiar to everyone from childhood. But in those distant years, such cakes in the store were usually sold with two types of cream: protein and butter. Fortunately, now you can independently bake or buy such sand baskets and fill with everything your heart desires. And not only sweet, but also salty fillings. But today we will focus on the sweet version.

In this review, we will learn how to cook baskets, plum jam, and just an amazingly delicious cake. Fruit jams are ideal filling for shortbread cookies. Being thick even before baking, the jams are caramelized in the oven, after which they organically merge with the base. And if you don't like plums, then jam can be made from any other fresh fruit or berries. Cherries, apples of late varieties, pears, apricots, peaches, etc. are good for these purposes. The main thing is to boil the fruit or fry it to the state of jam, so that they do not give a lot of juice when baking. With such jams, the shortbread dough will simply melt in your mouth. I assure you that no one will remain indifferent.

11. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and send the baskets to bake for a maximum of half an hour. Since the jam is already ready, and it is necessary that the dough is only baked. When the rim of the baskets is browned, remove them from the frypot and leave to cool. Remove them from the mold only after they have cooled down, otherwise they may break. If you wish, you can put a few more fresh berries on top or a spoonful of custard or sour cream.
