There is no point in looking for natural applesauce on supermarket shelves. Factory-made blanks are equipped with a set of preservatives, stabilizers, flavorings and emulsifiers. Only homemade apple puree, prepared with your own hands, by processing fresh fruits, can guarantee decent quality and amazing taste. To feed your family a quality product all year round, you need to prepare applesauce without sugar for the winter. The regular use of such a fruit treat is invaluable for both adults and babies. Apples are rich in iron, calcium, copper, magnesium, vitamins A, B, C, D, PP. But before starting the harvesting process, let's get acquainted with the rules for making applesauce:
- Choose sweet apples.
- Harvest them without added sugar.
- After boiling, cook the apples for no longer than 20 minutes. Otherwise, many vitamins will be digested.
- Do not cook large portions in one bowl. During the cooking process, the mass "shoots", from which there is a risk of burning your hands and staining the walls.
- Take dishes with thick sides and bottom.
- Roll-up tins should be medium in size. Do not take too large containers. Better to choose a container for 1-2 servings.
- Jars with lids should be perfect, no damage, cracks, scratches, chips.
- Pour hot applesauce into hot sterile jars.
- Store the cooled workpiece in a cool, dark place.

Ingredients:
- Apples - 2 kg
- Citric acid - on the tip of a knife

Step-by-step preparation of sugar-free applesauce for the winter, recipe with photo:
1. Sort the apples, selecting only high-quality, ripe and not spoiled fruits. Wash and dry with a paper towel. Cut off the tail, remove the seeds and seeds and cut into cubes. Place them in a cooking pot. If you wish, you can pre-peel the fruits. This will make the puree softer, but most of the nutrients are contained in the skin.
2. Pour in 50 ml of water to prevent the apples from burning. Cover the saucepan with a lid and put on fire. After boiling, turn the heat to the minimum setting and cook the apples, covered, for 20 minutes until soft.
3. Then put your hand blender in a saucepan and chop the boiled apples into a puree consistency. The mass should be smooth, smooth and free of fruit pieces.
4. Place citric acid in a saucepan and stir.
5. Close the container with a lid and boil for 1 minute.
6. By this time, sterilize the cans with lids over steam. Put the hot mashed potatoes in the jars, filling them up to the shoulders. Cover the jar with a lid and place in a pot of warm water. Boil water and sterilize the sugar-free applesauce for the winter for 30 minutes. Then roll the cans tightly with the lids. Turn them over and place them on the lids. Wrap in a warm blanket and leave to cool completely. Slow cooling will allow the workpiece to be stored longer.
