If there is no working oven, then such potatoes can be made in a skillet under the lid. Of course, the effect will not be the same, but it is still very tasty. It is better to choose small young tubers for the dish. Fruits are even suitable, like peas, because you do not need to peel the vegetable. For aroma and taste when baking, you can add all kinds of herbs and spices. Perfect: rosemary, coriander, dill, thyme, garlic, ground sweet paprika, Provencal herbs, etc.
By the way, since it is impossible to kindle fires in a city, as an experiment, potatoes can be baked in the oven, as in nature, i.e. wrap in bacon and foil. It will turn out very tasty too. In general, baked potatoes in any form are a versatile side dish that can be prepared for anything: fish dishes, chops, cutlets, etc. However, it can be served simply with butter, cream or sauce.

Cooking young potatoes in the oven
1. Remove the butter from the refrigerator beforehand so that it reaches room temperature. Then cut into pieces and put in a bowl. Add salt, ground pepper, any spices and mix well. I put in the turmeric, and you can add whatever you want.
2. Since the potatoes will be cooked in the skin, wash them very well, and if necessary, remove the spoiled areas. It is advisable to choose the potatoes of the same size so that they cook all at the same time. Otherwise, some root vegetables will be ready, while others will remain raw or burnt.
Dry the potatoes with a paper towel and place them in a bowl of butter. Stir well to coat each tuber with oil.
3. Line a baking sheet with baking parchment and lay out the potatoes.
4. Heat the oven to 200 ° С and send the baking sheet with tubers to bake for about half an hour. The specific frying time will depend on the size of the potatoes.
5. Taste the readiness of the vegetable with a fork, if it is soft, then it is ready and can be served. If it is still hard, then bake some more. It should be served immediately after cooking, because that's when it tastes best.
