Usually we bake potatoes outdoors in a fire, it turns out amazingly delicious. But when the weather is bad outside the window or you just don't want to go on a picnic, and in urban conditions there is no way to light fires, then a delicious dish can be prepared without leaving the apartment. For this we only need an oven. And if you do not have a working oven, then cook the potatoes in a skillet under the lid. It will also be just as tasty.
Baked potatoes are a wonderful side dish that can be served with anything: cutlets, fish dishes, chops, etc. You can cook in this way both old winter tubers and new potatoes. We'll bake the last one today. But in the case of using old tubers, they are usually peeled before baking, although this is a matter of taste.
For this dish, it is advisable to choose young small and small potatoes. Suitable even as peas, because young tubers are baked in a skin that is very tender and tasty. You can bake the tubers on their own, or with all kinds of spices and herbs. For example, with coriander, rosemary, pepper mix, thyme, dill, curry, paprika, etc. Experiments are possible here. I limited myself to only butter and garlic. But you can expand the bouquet of spices and use them to your liking.

Ingredients:
- Young potatoes - 0.5 kg
- Butter - 50 g
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
Step by step cooking of baked young potatoes with garlic:
1. Remove the butter from the refrigerator beforehand to melt. It is not necessary to melt it in the microwave or on the stove, it is necessary that it only acquire a soft consistency. Cut the melted butter into pieces and put in a bowl, add salt and finely chopped garlic. If you wish, you can add any more spices and spices.
2. At the last moment I decided to put in ground paprika: sweet and spicy.
3. Stir the oil and spices to form a homogeneous mass.
4. Wash and dry the potatoes with a cotton towel. Send to a container with oil and stir. Do not peel young tubers, they have a very delicate and sweet skin, moreover, there are many useful substances in it.
5. Line a baking sheet with baking parchment and lay out the potatoes. Although it can be baked in a sleeve or foil.
6. Heat the oven to 180 degrees and cook the tubers for half an hour. However, the specific cooking time may vary. It depends on the variety, age and size of the tubers. Therefore, pierce the potatoes with a toothpick, if it enters easily, then the potatoes are well baked. Otherwise, continue baking it further.
