Ingredients:
- White cabbage - 0.5 heads of cabbage
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Sausages - 5-6 pcs.
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Carrots - 1 pc. (large)
- Vegetable oil - for frying
Step by step cooking stewed cabbage with carrots and sausages, recipe with photo:
1. Remove the top inflorescences from the cabbage. they are usually dirty. Wash the head of cabbage, dry with a paper towel and chop into thin strips. Put the pan on the stove, add vegetable oil and heat. Send cabbage into it and fry over medium heat until a light ruddy color is formed.
2. Peel the carrots, wash and grate on a coarse grater. Peel the sausages from the packaging film and cut into rings about 5 mm thick or any other shape. Add carrots with sausages to the skillet with cabbage.
3. Season the food with salt and black pepper. Stir and cook for 10 minutes. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer cabbage with carrots and sausages over low heat for 1 hour.
4. If you want the cabbage to be firm and crispy, cook it covered for 20-30 minutes. Serve hot or chilled.
