Rules and features of the diet for gastritis of the stomach. What kind of diet is required?
Gastritis is one of the most common stomach disorders that can affect children too. Treatment is very complex and lengthy, since the main rule is constantly being violated - diet. When treating gastritis of the stomach, it is required to constantly follow a special diet, thanks to which the general condition and well-being of the patient is facilitated.
Diet rules for gastritis of the stomach for every day
With gastritis, there is a certain bacterium in the stomach that provokes inflammation of the mucous membrane. However, the bacterium is not always the cause of the development of gastritis. This disease can also occur as a result of an improper lifestyle, due to which a certain malfunction has occurred in the body's work. Quite often, gastritis is the result of an improper diet, constant stressful situations, smoking and alcohol abuse.
This disease is accompanied by unpleasant and rather severe painful sensations in the stomach, feeling of nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. Therefore, diet is so important for gastritis of the stomach. The menu is determined taking into account the stage of the disease. Only a doctor can establish this, so it will not be possible to do without the help of a specialist.
When diagnosing gastritis of the stomach, certain dietary rules must be followed every day:
- First, it is required to neutralize hydrochloric acid, since it is she who provokes severe irritation of the walls of the stomach.
- Food should be soft so that the internal organs are not strained during processing.
- Eat every three hours, but in small portions.
- One serving should not exceed 250 g.
- You need to steam dishes, bake in the oven or cook.
- It is very important to boil food well so as not to overload the stomach.
- You need to eat food only warm. Hot and cold foods are strictly prohibited, otherwise too low or high temperatures will cause serious harm to the stomach.
- A properly selected and balanced diet will help not only remove unpleasant painful sensations, but also lose weight and strengthen immunity.
- It is required to completely exclude fermented milk products in any form from the diet, since they provoke an exacerbation of the disease and an increase in painful sensations.
- Alcohol and smoking are strictly prohibited. Therefore, when the first suspicions of the development of gastritis appear, it is required to completely abandon all existing bad habits.
Taking into account what form and stage of gastritis will be determined by the doctor, one of four diets is prescribed:
- Diet number 1 … It is prescribed for exacerbation of the disease, with chronic gastritis and with high acidity. Diet for gastritis of the stomach No. 1 is recommended in cases where increased secretion persists. Fiber and any types of foods that can provoke an exacerbation of the disease are removed from the diet. All foods that require long-term digestion are excluded from the diet. Food should be light and prepared as much as possible for digestion, since it is served only in a grated form. Hot and cold food is strictly prohibited. It is recommended to observe 3-5 months.
- Diet number 2 … It is prescribed for exacerbation of gastritis with reduced secretion. The diet is aimed at provoking the stomach to produce juice. Fried, fatty and spicy foods are excluded from the diet, the use of simple carbohydrates and sugar is minimized. Food is fractional, up to 5 times a day. It is not recommended to include milk and legumes in the diet.
- Diet number 15 … This diet option is considered to be more gentle. Patients are advised to adhere to this principle of nutrition for gastritis of the stomach for no longer than one week and during treatment in the second week. It is recommended to add fruit and vegetable juices, fresh fruits and vegetables, rosehip broth to the diet. Nutrition should be complete and regular, prolonged fasting should not be allowed.
- Diet number 16 … This diet option is prescribed in the event of a relapse of the disease, as well as during the most severe exacerbation. The use of spicy, salty and fatty foods, very cold or hot foods is limited. The form of food intake also changes - it is recommended to grind the dishes with a blender or through a sieve, due to which it is much better absorbed by a weakened body.
