What does it take to create beautiful collages?

Many connoisseurs of contemporary art would love to purchase it. All you have to do is see how to make a collage, implement your plan, and you can sell a leather picture or make it to present to someone as a gift.
Here's what you need to get things done:

How to age sheet music and make a nib for a collage?
Let's start with one element of the picture. The technique of aging the notes is very interesting, as a result, they will turn out like this.
You can find many pieces of music on the Internet, we need a classic violin. In this case, it is the creation of Paganini.
We print the notes on a sheet, turn it over to the back side, glue a strip of scotch tape here and remove the seamy layer of paper.
You need to work with the tape carefully so as not to tear the front side of the pages with the notes.
This is how thin your paper should be as a result.
To create a collage further, we will age the edges of the notes by singling all sides of the sheet one by one. Immediately it is necessary to extinguish them. But we process only three edges in this way, leave the fourth (right) untouched, so that we can then glue the sheets in this place.
Brew tea, take out the bag. If using loose powder, then strain the solution. We lower the prepared sheet into it, then dry it.
Grease a rectangle of white upholstery leather with glue, put the prepared notes here. Gently glue, using a brush, from the middle to the edges to expel any air bubbles. Attach the edges especially carefully. The sheet itself also needs to be coated with glue on top, then let the workpiece dry.
After that, cut off the skin along the edges with scissors, spray the notes with aerosol varnish.
In total, in this technique, you need to make 3 sheet music. Glue two together, roll the third in the form of a scroll, tie it with a strip of leather.
Collage creation continues. Let's make an old feather. First, draw its template on paper, use the suggested one.
Attach the template to the skin, cut it out. Cover the center of the feather with glue, place a wire with a cross section of 1 mm here. Having folded the workpiece in half, wait a little for the wire to adhere.

It remains to arrange the veins using a burning tool, and tint the feather on the sides first with gold spray paint, and when it dries up with black.

How to make a violin with your own hands?
The provided template shows its dimensions.
Trace them onto cardboard, cut out this template. Put it on a sheet of corrugated cardboard, outline, cut out. In total, you will need 6 such blanks. Glue them together.
Here's how to make a violin next. At the bottom, you need to cut off a piece of cardboard around the edges.
Spread the leather, with the suede side facing up. Place the violin template on it, cut along it, leaving 7 mm allowances on all sides.
Glue the leather blank to the corrugated violin part. Cover with plastic to add volume to the tailpiece and neck. If it is not there, cut these parts not from one blank of cardboard, but from two and glue them with leather.
From the same material, cut a strip 3.5 cm wide, bend 5 mm on the front side, glue this side edging in place.
To make violin tuners, remove the cotton wool from both sides of two cotton swabs. Glue these plastic blanks with leather, glue at the ends in a square made of the same material. Attach the workpiece in place.
If you did not use plastic mass, place the neck on a piece of leather, cut it out with a margin so that you can wrap the cardboard around. Glue the blank so that the seam is at the bottom.
To make a realistic collage, we make decorations for the violin with our own hands. To do this, wrap the wire in a tape cut from leather, bend it, as shown in the photo.
We also wrap a long strip of wire with leather; this element will decorate the violin along the edges, becoming its edging.
After painting the floral wire, glue these strings in place. Drape the beginning and end with strips of leather.
To make a bow stick, take a wooden skewer or a plastic one from a ball. Wrap it with strips of leather to be glued. The string will be wire, also wrapped in leather.
These blanks are connected by 2 parts cut from leather. Their sizes are shown in the photo.
It remains to make a stand for the strings. To do this, cut out a workpiece of 3, 5x3, 5 cm from corrugated cardboard, bend it in half.
Lay the piece on the seamy side of the leather, cut it out here with allowances for the seams, fold it on all sides, glue it. Spray the part with gold spray paint. Place it vertically under the strings, glue it to the violin.
Leather roses for collage: stages of creation
To create a beautiful collage, we need to learn how to make flowers. Since there are many leather elements in the picture, we will make a rose from the same blessed material. Specifically for this job you will need:
- leather;
- tweezers;
- candle;
- glue;
- spray paint;
- floristic wire with a diameter of 1 mm;
- burning device;
- cardboard;
- a pen;
- scissors;
- acrylic paint;
- spray varnish.
In principle, you can take leather of any color, since you will still dye the blanks from it. Shoe "Moment" needs glue. Let's start by creating a template. As you can see in the photo, the petal is 4 cm wide and 5 cm long. Draw it on cardboard, cut it out. Then position this pattern on the back of the leather where the suede is. Circle, cut. For one flower, you need to create 7-8 of these petals.
Further, a rose made of leather is made in this way: take a petal by a thin edge with tweezers. Bring it to a candle flame. The top of the petal will begin to curl.
Perform all the petals in this technique, then begin to collect roses from leather to make a collage.
Let's make the core of the flower. To do this, you need to cut out a rectangle, the size of which is 4, 5x8, 5 cm, and bend the end of the floristic wire in the form of a loop.
Lubricate the sidewall and the upper part of the leather rectangle with glue, attach a loop of wire here, bend it up.
Roll up the blank with a tube, grease the edge with glue, form a bud. Placing the petals around it in a checkerboard pattern, glue them.
Next, the leather rose is covered with red spray paint, after which it must be dried.
We close the floristic wire by gluing a 7 mm wide strip of leather to it. We cut out the sheet according to the following template, form veins with a burning device. If you don't have such a device, then just draw them with a black or blue ballpoint pen.
To sharpen the edges of the leaves, hold them with tweezers, hold them slightly above the candle flame.
For each leather rose, you need to cut 4 sepals.
Place the sheets on cellophane, cover first with silver and then green spray.
Once dry, paint over them with green acrylic paint.
Do the same with the sepals, then glue them under the bud.
In this case, natural but dried thorns are used, they are glued to the trunks. To make the stem look natural, you need to bend it a little. This is easy to do, since the wire takes this shape well.
How to make a Styrofoam candle for decorating a collage?
This element can be used to decorate various original paintings. When making a children's collage, you can glue such a candle, making a panel based on a fairy tale. For a romantic collage, this accessory will also come in handy.
In this work, the candle also occupies not the last place, emphasizing the plot of the picture. If you will be making a collage from a photo, glue a Styrofoam candle near it. Thus, you add volume to the picture, bring romance.
Here's how to make a collage candle. First prepare:
- Styrofoam;
- stationery knife;
- glue "Moment";
- a strip of leather;
- spray paint.
Cut a workpiece 13 cm high from the bulk foam. Round the corners, shape with a knife. Lubricate the leather with glue, put a piece of foam on it, wrap it. At the top, shape the piece of leather into a triangular shape so that it turns into a flame.
Spray the candle first with ocher spray, then beige. Give the flame a brighter hue.
Putting together a leather collage
The base of the picture will be three-layered: the outer edge is the frame; in the center - a rectangle made of plywood; between it and the frame - a mat, we will make it out of cardboard.
The size of the picture is 60x40 cm. We need a sheet of cardboard of this size. Draw a 5, 5 cm wide frame on it on all sides. Cut it out. Here's what you get.

We attach the leather to the cardboard using Dragon glue.
It is necessary to generously grease both surfaces with glue. Do not overlap the skin, but end-to-end, draping it.
Fold the leather around the edges to cover the cardboard. Drape it with your fingers. The joint can be closed with a small fold.
Spray the resulting leather frame. Glue the leatherette rectangle to the plywood that will be inside the mat.
We continue to make a collage by creating a fold. Take the piece of leather intended for her. Lubricate its edges with glue, attach a wire here, twist.
When you fold the leather over the top in this way, it will be easy for you to fold the folds.
We put it between the mat and plywood, draping. Until at this stage we glue the leather curtain, just unfold it to see how it will look.
We remove the tilting, put a reflection on the place where the candle flame will be with the help of white spray paint, spray gold in the center of this spot. We glue the candle in place.
Now you can glue our leather curtain to the mat, attach a golden lace.
Pretty soon you will be able to create a collage to the end. After all, there is so little left. Put the notes on the falda, on top - the violin. We fix all these elements with glue. Leather roses are fixed in the same way.
