And this is no longer an appetizer for vodka, but a delicious dish in the style of classic Jewish cuisine. Of the many salads with herring, one of the most popular is the Norwegian salad, which has several recipes. This dish may contain slightly salted herring or only caviar, potatoes or apples, pickled or pickled cucumbers, crab sticks or shrimps, celery or eggs, and much more. You can season herring salad with mayonnaise, olive oil or homemade vinaigrette sauce.
Today we will prepare one of the versions of the Norwegian salad from herring caviar, eggs and apples. The combination of products is quite interesting and unusual. Salted herring roe in the salad is complemented by the sweet and sour taste of apples and the tenderness of boiled eggs. This salad will easily satisfy hunger and decorate the festive table. It is fast and easy, yet tastes great. Take apples that are quite sour, it is better to refuse sweet varieties. Choose fruits with firm and firm pulp so that they remain neat in the salad and do not crinkle, which often happens with sweet apples.

Ingredients:
- Lightly salted herring caviar - 4-6 pcs.
- Apples - 1 pc.
- Eggs - 2 pcs.
- Salt - a pinch
- Mayonnaise - for dressing
Step-by-step preparation of Norwegian salad from herring caviar, eggs and apples, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the eggs, put them in a saucepan, cover with cold water and boil. Bring the heat to the lowest setting and cook the eggs for 8-10 minutes until stiff. Do not overcook it any longer, otherwise the yolk will turn blue. Then fill the boiled eggs with ice water, which is changed several times so that they cool completely.
2. While the eggs are boiling, prepare the rest of the food. Rinse the apple and dry it with a paper towel. Remove the seed box and cut the fruit into cubes. Whether or not to peel the apples is up to the cook. Without the skin, the salad will be softer, but the skin contains the maximum amount of vitamins.
3. Lightly salted herring roe also cut or mash with a fork and send to the bowl with the apples.
4. Peel the eggs and cut into apple-sized cubes.
5. Season the food with mayonnaise.
6. Toss the Norwegian salad made from herring caviar, eggs and apples. Taste it and season with salt if necessary.
