Everyone loves pies. For many, they instill memories of childhood, of the village, of Saturday morning. They are filled with soulfulness, reminiscent of coziness, warm family evenings with long conversations at a round tea-drinking table. Most often, pies are made from yeast dough, although experiments have not yet been prohibited. They can be made from unleavened, choux, and puff pastry. The choice is huge.
Any jam can be used as a filling. The main condition is its consistency. Since the filling is too liquid, it will flow out of the pies. Better to take jam or jam thicker. And if you only have liquid jam, then you can fix this situation by adding a little corn or wheat flour, potato or corn starch to it. Oatmeal or flour, bread crumbs, or ground cookie crumbs are also good options.
I think that every housewife has her own favorite recipe for making pies. But I propose to diversify my daily menu and cook pies according to this recipe. They are prepared without yeast, and baking soda gives them splendor. This method does not take a lot of time, unlike yeast buns. In literally an hour, beautiful pastries will flaunt on your table.
