It will be a great dessert for the winter and a wonderful addition for mousses and tarts.
Making jam is simple, easy and quick. It will have to be boiled several times, but it does not take much time, but you will get such beauty and deliciousness for the winter! You can diversify the jam not only by adding cinnamon. For example, vanilla sugar will give a stunning aroma, citrus smell - orange or lemon, chocolate flavor - chocolate bar or cocoa powder. You can also put any spices and aromatic additives: ground nutmeg, powder or ginger root, ground cloves or anise, etc. Such an exquisite delicacy will give odds to any dessert and will be a great addition to tea on a chilly evening in the off-season and on a cold winter day. Ingredients:
- Pears - 1 kg
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
Step-by-step preparation of pear jam with cinnamon slices, recipe with photo:
1. Wash ripe pears under running water and dry with a paper towel. Cut out the seed pods with a special knife, remove the stalks and cut the fruits into slices. If there are rotten and damaged places, then remove them. If desired, you can peel the fruit. But then the jam will turn into a homogeneous mass. If you want it to be slices, then leave the skin, it will keep its shape.
2. Place prepared pears in a saucepan, add sugar and ground cinnamon. Take a saucepan with a thick bottom so that the jam does not burn.
3. Stir the pears with the sugar and let sit for one hour to let the fruit juice.
4. When liquid forms in the pot, send it to the stove.
5. Turn on the medium heat of the hotplate and bring the contents of the pot to a boil. Boil the jam for 5 minutes and remove from heat. Leave to cool to room temperature and repeat the procedure: boil, boil for 5 minutes and cool. Do this 3 times.
6. After the third boil, pour the jam into sterilized jars and seal with clean lids. Wrap it in a warm blanket and leave to cool completely. Then store the pear cinnamon wedges in the pantry at room temperature.
