A thin Armenian lavash sheet is a unique product. Under the influence of sauces and all kinds of fillings, in a small amount of time, it turns from a dry pancake into a juicy and soft cake. You can cook a pita roll with any ingredients. This does not take much time and effort. For meals for every day, use what is in the refrigerator. Today, on the basis of thin pita bread, we will prepare a lazy roll with apricots. The dish is baked in the oven and served as a hot snack. Although, after cooling, the treat can also be offered as a cold snack. Such an easy-to-prepare and quick roll with an interesting filling will accompany any tea party.
According to this recipe, you can cook rolls with any filling. If the apricot season is over, then plums, apples, pears, strawberries, raspberries, etc. will do. Also, such delicacies can be made with salty filling: minced meat, mushrooms, cottage cheese, cheese, herbs, fish, etc. In addition, a roll can be made from several pita breads and with different fillings. To do this, lay out one pita bread on top of the second, and on each one evenly apply different fillings over the entire plane of the sheet. - Thin Armenian lavash - 1 pc. oval
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Apricots - 1 kg
- Butter - 25 g for frying
- Eggs - 1 pc.
Step-by-step preparation of a lazy pita roll with apricots, a recipe with a photo:
1. Sort apricots, removing spoiled and rotten ones. Wash the berries, dry with a paper towel and remove the pit. Cut the fruit into small wedges into 6-8 pieces.
2. Place the pan on the stove, add the butter and melt.
3. Send the sliced apricots to the pan and sprinkle with sugar.
4. Cook the apricots over medium heat, stirring occasionally. It is necessary that they caramelize and become slightly soft, but at the same time do not turn into a puree consistency.
5. Spread a sheet of pita bread on the countertop and place the stewed apricots evenly. Leave free space on all edges of the sheet without filling.
6. Tuck the remaining free edge of the pita bread on three edges and cover the apricot filling.
7. Roll the pita bread and place in a baking dish, seam side down. Although it can be wrapped in different ways: envelopes, pounds, pancakes. Stir the egg with a silicone brush and grease the roll so that it has a golden brown crust. If you are afraid that the pita bread will unfold during baking, then fasten it with a wooden toothpick.
