Lavash pie, or as it is also called envelopes or lavash triangles, are rolled and stuffed pita bread, fried in a pan. Such unusual pies made of lavash, which replaces the dough, are prepared quickly enough. Especially if you prepare the filling in advance, then such triangles can be instantly screwed on. At the same time, products can be prepared not only with juicy chicken, but also with any filling to the taste of the cook. For example, half of the chicken meat can be replaced with canned corn, boiled rice, pickles, fresh tomatoes, etc. Then you will always have pies with a new taste. In addition, you can make several types of triangles at a time, to suit the taste of each eater. Ready-made triangles from pita bread with chicken or other filling can be taken with you to work, given to children with you to school, or just have a snack when you want something tasty. It is also convenient to take them with you on a sortie or to the country. While waiting for a shish kebab, you can have a quick snack with such envelopes. Ingredients:
- Lavash - 3 pcs. oval
- Pickled cucumber - 1 pc.
- Chicken thigh - 2 pcs.
- Salt, black pepper - 0.5 tsp each. or to taste
- Mayonnaise - 1.5 tsp
- Korean carrots - 100 g
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Mustard - 1.5 tsp
- Ketchup - 1.5 tsp
Step-by-step preparation of triangles from pita bread with chicken, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the chicken thigh and dry it with a paper towel. Remove the skin and cut the meat off the bone. Cut the meat into medium sized pieces.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and add chicken meat. Fry it over high heat until golden brown. This will keep the juice in them. Then screw on the fire, salt and pepper the meat, stir and fry until tender.
3. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup.
4. Stir the sauce.
5. Cut the lavash into long strips of 10 cm in width and length for the entire lavash, usually about 35 cm. Neat and small pies are obtained from such pieces. If you want larger triangles, then cut the ribbons wider and longer, for example 15x50 cm, at the rate of 3.5 turns per edge of the triangle, where the edge length is the width of the lavash ribbon.
6. Apply a few spoonfuls of sauce to one end of the tape.
7. Place a few pieces of grilled meat on top of the sauce.
8. Place Korean carrots on the fried chicken.
9. Top with a few sliced pickled cucumber rings.
10. Cover the filling with the edge of the pita bread in the shape of a triangle.
11. Fold the resulting triangle forward on the tape.
12. Then roll the triangle forward again.
13. Do the third time and fold the excess cake into a fold.
14. The result should be a beautiful dense triangle that will not turn around and fall apart during the frying process.
15. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry pita bread triangles with chicken on both sides until golden brown.
