The dish, which we will talk about today, will appeal to absolutely everyone. Turkish pie "Burek" (from Turkish burek) comes from, it is not difficult to guess, from Turkey. However, it is universally prepared in many countries of the world. Traditionally, unleavened filo dough is used for this baking, which is very laborious to cook. It is a very thin dough through which the fine print of the newspaper is visible. Baking is stuffed with completely different fillings: vegetables, potatoes, meat, cheese, eggplant, zucchini, etc. Due to the preparation of the filo dough, the pie cannot be classified as an instant product. Therefore, Russian housewives found an alternative solution - to use thin Armenian lavash.

Step-by-step preparation of Turkish lazy pita "Burek" from lavash with cottage cheese, recipe with photo:
1. Place curd in a bowl and add sugar with a pinch of salt.
2. Beat the curd with a blender until smooth, so that there are no lumps. If there is no blender, then grind it twice through a fine sieve. If desired, add raisins, prunes, dried apricots or any other berries and fruits to the curd mass.
3. Cut the pita bread into transverse strips of 10 cm. Place the curd filling on each of them along the length.
4. Roll the pita bread into a roll.
5. Roll this roll in a spiral shape and place it in a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Do the same procedure: put cottage cheese on the pita bread, roll it up in a roll, which is spirally wrapped around the pie. There can be any number of such curls. Depending on the desired cake size.
6. Whisk the egg so that the yolk and white are evenly distributed.
7. Brush all sides of the cake with a pastry brush. Pour the rest of the egg mass onto the cake.
7. Send the product to a heated oven up to 180 degrees for 20 minutes. I recommend covering the cake with cling foil or parchment paper to prevent it from burning. Remove it 10 minutes before cooking to brown it. Serve warm pastries after cooking.
