But if you want to surprise guests, have a hearty snack, please your household, and at the same time you don't want to mess around with complicated dishes for a long time. Then use this recipe, bake the potatoes in the oven, the result is amazing. It is satisfying, tasty, fast, and most importantly from affordable budget products, while the dish looks delicious and festive.

The recipe itself is pretty simple. However, there are also various cooking variations. Lard can be used fresh, smoked or boiled. The usual, fat, sub-colum will do. In addition, you can alternate lard with sausage or cheese products, ham, brisket … And in general, you can make several options at the same time. Such a variety will look very impressive on the table, and every eater will find what he likes best.

You can serve such potatoes both independently and complementing them with excellent meat or fish side dishes. And in the summer, a fresh vegetable salad is perfect.

1. It is desirable to use unpeeled young tubers for this dish. But ripe fruits are also suitable, but then you have to wash them thoroughly, or cut off the peel. So, wash the roots and wipe them dry with a towel. With a sharp knife, at a distance of 5 mm from each other, make transverse cuts, without bringing the knife to the end of the fruit.

2. Cut the bacon into thin slices 3 mm thick. Too thick pieces of bacon will be difficult to fit between the potato wedges. To make the lard better cut, it can be pre-placed in the freezer for 30 minutes so that it freezes a little. Then it can be cut into thin slices without any problems. Peel the garlic and also thinly cut into pieces of 2-3 mm.

3. Now get down to stuffing potatoes. Place pieces of bacon in one incision and garlic in the other. So that you get a potato "accordion".

4. Salt and pepper the resulting semi-finished product. You can also season it with different spices and herbs to taste. For example, ground nutmeg or herbs.

5. Cut the foil into pieces about 25 cm in size and wrap the stuffed potatoes in it so that there are no empty gaps and holes.

6. Heat the oven to 200 degrees and send the potatoes to bake for 1 hour. Its readiness can be checked with a toothpick. Poke the potatoes through the foil with it, if it comes in easily, then the dish is ready. Remove the tubers from the oven and serve; if you do not eat the potatoes immediately, do not unfold them from the foil. It will keep warm and keep the temperature for a longer time.
