Baked potatoes are a healthy, and importantly, low-calorie side dish that is prepared with absolutely no hassle. Ready tubers retain all trace elements and vitamins for a long time. In addition, the dish can be supplemented with various ingredients, ranging from herbs and spices to seafood and bacon. It turns out very tasty potatoes, generously flavored with butter, herbs and cheese, or stuffed with meat or fish. But in today's recipe, I propose to use the products available and available in every family for the filling - garlic and lard. You can use this recipe for a dish as a basic one, and then you can expand your culinary horizons through experimentation and trial.
Potatoes for baking should be bought friable (mealy) varieties. The tubers should be of approximately medium size, strong, even, free from damage or imperfections. Fruits that are too old and covered with many eyes should not be used.
For reference: It is known that potatoes hold the record for potassium content. Therefore, in baked form, it is recommended for people with cardiovascular disorders, gastrocnemius cramps, hypertension and fragility of bones. - Pork lard (with meat streaks possible) - 200-300 g
- Garlic - 1 head
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Ground black pepper - 2/3 tsp or to taste

Cooking potatoes in foil
1. First of all, prepare all the food. Peel the fat from a large accumulation of salt (if any), and cut it thinly, about 3-5 mm. To make it easier to cut, you can pre-hold it in the freezer for 15 minutes.
2. Peel the garlic, rinse and cut into thin rings.
3. Prepare the foil. Based on the size of the tubers, cut the roll into sheets of the appropriate size so that one stuffed potato can be placed in one cut.
4. Rinse the potatoes under running water and dry with a paper towel. After that, divide it in half. If the tubers are too large, the potatoes can be cut into 3 pieces.
Whether or not to peel the tubers is up to you. If the fruits are young, then the skin can be left. If you like baked rind, leave it as well. Well, if the tubers are too old, then it is advisable to peel them and remove all the eyes.
5. Season the potato halves with salt and pepper.
6. Place a few garlic cloves on one half of the potato. You can vary their number yourself, depending on taste and preference.
7. Put slices of bacon on top of the garlic.
8. And again, put the garlic slices on the bacon.
9. Cover the resulting "structure" with the second half of the potato.
10. Wrap each potato tightly in foil to avoid gaps or gaps.
11. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and send them to bake in an oven heated to 200 degrees for 1 hour.
12. Serve the cooked potatoes immediately after cooking. Serve it directly in the foil. Well, if you do not use the dish immediately, but after some time, after 20-30 minutes, then do not remove it from the foil so that it does not cool down. It will keep a high temperature inside for a long time.
