For a novice inexperienced housewife, making a sweet roll from yeast or biscuit dough is quite difficult. Such baking requires experience that is gained over the years. However, you still want delicious homemade pastries. Then the purchased ready-made puff pastry comes to the rescue. There is no hassle with it, and the pastries always turn out delicious. All that remains is to find a suitable recipe and filling for the product. Today we are preparing a puff pastry roll with cottage cheese and a banana.
Banana is everyone's favorite, delicious and nutritious exotic fruit that is loved by many. But cottage cheese is a fermented milk product that not many people love in its own form, especially ardent haters - children. Banana added to the curd filling hides the presence of curd, gives it aroma and taste. Therefore, a product with a cottage cheese-banana filling will be eaten with pleasure even by those who are not fans of cottage cheese. The main thing for the filling is to use soft cottage cheese without grains, or beat it with a blender until it becomes a cream, so that it turns out to be a homogeneous consistency. Take ripe bananas for the recipe, but without the dark center. If there is no banana, then you can replace it with any berries and fruits that mask the presence of cottage cheese. It can be lemon or orange peel, strawberries, raspberries, crushed nuts, candied fruits, favorite dried fruits, chocolate chips, etc.

Ingredients:
- Purchased puff pastry - 1 sheet weighing 250-300 g
- Cottage cheese - 200 g
- Sugar - 50 g or to taste
- Banana - 1 pc.
Step-by-step preparation of a puff pastry roll with cottage cheese and banana, recipe with photo:
1. Wash banana, peel, cut into rings and put in a deep bowl.
2. Add cottage cheese to the bananas and add sugar. If the curd is very watery, then hang it in cheesecloth so that the excess whey is glass. Because if the filling is wet, it will flow out of the roll when baking.
3. Grind the cottage cheese with a banana with a blender to get a homogeneous mass similar to a cream without curd grains.
4. By this time, defrost the dough, because it is usually sold frozen. Do this without using the microwave. Defrost it at room temperature, preferably in the refrigerator. When the dough melts, roll it out with a rolling pin into a thin layer about 3-5 mm thick.
5. Put the curd mass on the dough.
6. Spread the curd filling evenly over the entire area of the dough.
7. Gently roll the dough into a roll. Do not press it down very tightly so that the filling does not leak out.
8. Grease a baking sheet with oil and move the roll to it with the seam down. On the surface of the roll, make several cuts at a distance of 1-1.5 cm from each other. If desired, grease the roll with egg yolk or milk so that the roll has a golden brown crust after baking. Heat the oven to 180 degrees and send a puff pastry roll with cottage cheese and a banana to bake for half an hour. Serve it to the dessert table after cooling, cut into portions.
