Delicious flip-flop cake with apples and oatmeal is a recipe that can be prepared all year round. Well, when a fresh harvest of apples is ripe, the apple pie recipe is especially popular. Step-by-step recipe with a photo. Video recipe.
Apple pies are good and old baked goods loved by many. The advantage of apple pies is that they can be cooked all year round. apples are always available. The most famous products of this kind are charlotte and French tarte Taten. Today I propose a recipe for a shape-shifting biscuit pie with apples and oatmeal. It bears a resemblance to the aforementioned pies, but still has its own flavor. The dough for this cake will be biscuit, like a charlotte - fluffy, porous, elastic, and the method of preparation is similar to the Taten tart, which is prepared "upside down", i.e. the dough is poured over the apple filling. And of course, one cannot fail to note the impressive cooking speed of these pastries. In this interpretation, the traditional apple dessert is revealed in a completely new way and acquires a special charm.
To make the cake tasty, it is important to use sweet and sour apples and always hard winter varieties. These will become slightly soft during baking and will not turn into applesauce. If desired, the finished cake can be brushed with whipped cream or poured over with chocolate icing. I recommend serving the dessert warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
