Ingredients:
- Beets - 300 g
- Carrots - 300 g
- Vegetable oil - 3-4 tbsp. l.
- Apple cider vinegar - 2-3 tbsp. l.
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Dill - 1 bunch
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
Step-by-step preparation with a photo of a healthy salad from raw beets and carrots
1. Clean the carrots or wash them well if you have young roots. Three on a grater. To make the salad look more attractive, use a Korean carrot grater.
2. Beets for salad, take the one that has a dark color. These beets have the richest flavor. And of course the color. We clean the beets and also grate them on a grater for Korean carrots.
3. Now you can peel the garlic and pass it through a press or chop finely. In spring, garlic can be replaced with wild garlic. We wash the dill and chop finely.
4. Now add vegetable oil, preferably cold-pressed olive oil, but sunflower oil will be appropriate. We also dress the salad with apple cider vinegar. If this is not at hand, take a canteen, but in smaller quantities.
5. Salt and pepper the salad after mixing. What else can you add to such a salad and what would be appropriate? Walnuts, of course! They must be dried in a frying pan or in the oven, peeled from the film and chopped not very finely. Raisins will also go well with beets and carrots. It must first be soaked in boiling water for 20 minutes, then added to the salad.
6. Serve the prepared salad immediately to the table. For those on a diet and healthy diet, remember that raw vegetables and fruits are best consumed in the morning.
