Zucchini is a popular vegetable with a wide variety of options. And one of the most popular ways to cook them is to bake them in the oven with a filling, i.e. stuffed zucchini.
The key to a well-prepared dish is the right choice of products. For stuffing, it is advisable to choose young zucchini with a thin peel so that they do not have to be peeled, and the vegetables themselves do not lose their density. Zucchini should be ripe, medium in size, about 8 cm in diameter and 12-15 cm in length. Such fruits have a delicate pulp, which can emphasize the taste of the filling.
Stuffed zucchini with minced meat can be baked in the oven in various forms. For example, there are options for a keg, cylinder or boats. Today we'll talk about the last option and prepare small boats with minced meat. One of the main advantages of zucchini is its neutral aroma, which is in perfect harmony with any type of meat. You can use not only traditional combinations with chicken, beef or pork, but also with lamb, turkey or fish. Before starting, it is important to carefully remove the seeds from the vegetable, because they can disturb the texture of the filling. And so that the zucchini pulp and minced meat are baked equally, cook the dish in the oven half the time under foil.

Step by step cooking zucchini stuffed with minced meat:
1. Wash the zucchini and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut the fruit lengthwise into two halves and remove the pulp and seeds from each. But do not throw it away, it will come in handy for the filling.
2. Cut the extracted pulp into small cubes. If you use ripe fruits, then do not use the pulp with large seeds for the dish. In this case, simply increase the amount of filling products.
3. Wash the meat, peel off the film and cut off excess fat, if you want the dish to turn out to be less greasy. Then cut it into small pieces. Although, to simplify the process, you can twist it through a meat grinder.
4. Peel the onions, wash and chop into small cubes.
5. Cut the cheese into thin slices or grate on a coarse grater.
6. Set the frying pan on the fire, splash the oil and heat it up. Place the meat in a single layer, turn on a medium flame and cook until golden brown.
7. Then sauté the onions until transparent.
8. Then add the squash and fry until soft and golden brown.
9. Put all the filling ingredients into a container: fried meat, zucchini pulp and onion. Season food with salt, ground pepper, herbs and other aromatic and flavoring additives. Mix well. Taste and, if necessary, bring it to the desired.
10. Fill the squash boats tightly with minced meat. Lay it out with a slide, because when baked, it will still decrease in volume.
11. Cover the filling with a slice of cheese. Put the zucchini on a baking sheet, which is sent to a preheated oven to 180 degrees for half an hour. For the first 20 minutes, bake the snack under covered foil. Then remove it so that the cheese is browned. Serve the dish to the table hot, while the cheese is melted and stringy.
