By preparing a dish according to this recipe, you will receive a harmonious treat, where the sweet and sour taste of orange does not interrupt, but exquisitely emphasizes the taste of fried meat. As you know, organic acids contained in citrus fruits eat away protein meat fibers, making the meat soft and tender, not to mention the piquant taste. You can take any type of meat for the recipe. I use pork today. It goes well with oranges. The result is a delicate citrus aroma and a pleasant sour taste. However, a dish with beef, veal and even chicken turns out to be tasty and aromatic. You can cook this dish in different ways. Today I fried the meat and stewed it in a frying pan on the stove. Despite the simplicity of preparation, the dish turns out to be incredibly tasty. But you can put the food in a heat-resistant pot and bake it in the oven. The food will acquire a harmonious taste and pleasant aroma. The garnish can be anything to your taste: rice, buckwheat, stewed cabbage, boiled potatoes or fresh vegetable salad.

Ingredients:

  • Pork (another type of meat is possible) - 1 kg
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Oranges - 1 pc.
  • Ground black pepper - a pinch
  • Vegetable oil - for frying
  • Onions - 1 pc.
  • Salt - 0.5 tsp or to taste
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon

1. Wash the meat, cut off the veins with films, dry with a paper towel and cut into medium pieces of 3 cm in size. By this time, heat a frying pan with vegetable oil and send the meat into it. Fry it on high heat for 5 minutes so that it becomes covered with a crust that will keep the juice inside the pieces. Then add chopped onions to the meat in half rings. Screw the temperature down to medium and continue to fry the food for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

2. Wash and dry the oranges, cut them into rings along with the peel and send to the pan with meat.
