I propose another delicious recipe for making honey shank with ginger in lemon-soy sauce. It can be baked both in foil and in a sleeve, or in an open form or on a baking sheet. It should be borne in mind that if you want to get a soft skin, the knuckle should be wrapped in foil or a sleeve. If you like crispy skins, bake them open. - Pork knuckle - 1 pc.
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Ginger powder - 1 tsp
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Salt - pinch or to taste
- Garlic - 1 head
- Honey - 1, 5 tablespoons
- Lemon - 0.5 pcs.
Step-by-step preparation of honey shank with ginger in lemon-soy sauce, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the shank under running water, scrape the skin with an iron sponge (especially if there is a black tan on it) and dry well with a paper towel.
Peel the garlic, wash and cut in half.
Make shallow punctures in the shank with a sharp knife, which are stuffed with garlic cloves.
2. Pour soy sauce into a small container, add honey and lemon juice.
3. Add ginger powder, salt and black pepper. Be careful with the addition of salt, as salty soy sauce is used, and you can oversalt the dish. You can use finely grated ginger instead of ginger powder.
