Parents always feed their children with oatmeal in the morning. And everyone is familiar with the situation when a child begins to be capricious and refuses to have breakfast. Of course, it is almost impossible to feed a child with ordinary oatmeal. However, without quarreling with the baby, you can please him and make a faded dish quite beautiful and tasty. To do this, oatmeal must be supplemented with any foods that your baby loves. Then the child will always be healthy, well-fed and will love cereals. In this review, I suggest serving oatmeal with ice cream, which no child will refuse.
You can use any ice cream for this recipe that is available at home. Homemade ice cream will also work. In addition, the meal can be supplemented with any seasonal berries and fruits to suit your baby's taste. It is also allowed to use porridge, which already contains dried cereals, fruits and pieces of berries. These mixtures are just as useful.
You can cook porridge in milk, water, or combine both liquids. The satiety and taste of the dish will depend on this. The flakes are suitable for both instant preparation and ordinary Hercules of the Extra series. In the first case, it will be enough just to pour boiling water over the cereals.

Cooking oatmeal with ice cream
1. Pour the cereal into a deep bowl. Add sugar if desired. However, keep in mind that ice cream is already sweet, so don't overdo it with sugar.
2. Fill the cereals with hot water and cover with a lid. Leave to infuse for 5 minutes. You can also pour the flakes with hot milk. The amount of liquid should be in a 1: 2 ratio (flakes: liquid). Then the porridge will turn out to be neither thick nor liquid. If you prefer a thinner dish, then increase the volume of liquid, respectively, and vice versa, decrease it.
3. During this time, the porridge will steam out, swell and double in volume. If you use Hercules "Extra" flakes, cook them differently. Pour cereals into a saucepan, cover with water or milk and place on the stove. After boiling, reduce the temperature and cook, covered, for 10-15 minutes. They can also be soaked in water at room temperature and left overnight, and boil for 1-2 minutes in the morning.
4. Put the prepared porridge on a plate, put a ball or two ice cream and garnish with cherries, from which you first remove the seeds.
