Ingredients:
- Mushrooms - 500 g (any variety)
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Plum sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Ground black pepper - 0.5 tsp or to taste
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Sour cream - 150 ml
- Onions - 1 pc.
Step-by-step preparation of stewed mushrooms in plum sauce with sour cream, recipe with photo:
1. You can use any mushrooms. This recipe uses frozen wild mushrooms. If you have the same, defrost them in the refrigerator without using a microwave oven and hot water. Then rinse under running water, transfer to a sieve and leave all the moisture to the glass. Dry the mushrooms with a paper towel and cut into strips.
If you use artificially grown mushrooms (oyster mushrooms or champignons), then wash, dry and cut them as well. Pour the dried mushrooms with boiling water for half an hour so that they increase in volume, then chop. Fresh forest mushrooms will first have to be boiled and then chopped.
Peel the onions, wash and chop into thin half rings.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and add mushrooms.
3. Saute them over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about 5-7 minutes and add the onion.
4. Continue to fry mushrooms and onions.
5. If the mushrooms will burn, then add a little vegetable oil.
6. When the mushrooms are golden and the onions are translucent, add the plum sauce to the pan.
7. Next, add sour cream.
8. Season the food with salt and black pepper, stir and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Serve ready-made mushrooms stewed in plum sauce with sour cream with any side dish.
