What is a casserole? Hearing the name of this recipe immediately presents itself as a sweet dish made from chopped foods mixed and baked in the oven. However, casseroles are different. For example, they are cooked with spaghetti, rice, zucchini, potatoes. We will prepare the last one today. Potato casseroles with minced meat are very easy to prepare. If the dish will be consumed by adults, then the minced meat can be pre-fried in a pan with spices. For a children's table, use chicken meat as minced meat, which you immediately send to bake in the oven. It is important that any filling is juicy, but it should not be wet, otherwise the bottom layer of the potato will soften, which will make it difficult to chop.
When it comes to potatoes, there are also several uses. You can boil the tubers and heat until puree, or use raw shavings or thin slices. Choose a large and deep form for cooking. This can be ceramics, thermal glass, or a cast iron pan. If such dishes are not available, then you can use a regular baking sheet that comes with the oven.

Ingredients:
- Potatoes - 3 pcs.
- Meat (any sort) - 500 g
- Onions - 1 pc.

- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Milk - 300 ml
- Cheese - 150 g
- Eggs - 1 pc.
- Salt - 1 tsp
Step by step cooking potato casserole with minced meat:
1. Wash the meat and pat dry with a paper towel. Set the grinder with a medium wire rack and pass the minced meat through it.
2. Peel the onions, wash and chop finely.
3. Peel potatoes, wash and cut into rings. The slice thickness can be different, from 2 mm to 5-7 mm. The tenderness and elasticity of the casserole will depend on this.
4. Place the frying pan on the stove, pour in the vegetable oil and put the minced meat. Turn on medium heat and fry until light golden.
5. In another skillet, sauté the onions.
6. Combine minced meat with fried onions in one skillet. Season them with salt, pepper and spices. Optionally, add tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, a spoonful of sour cream or mayonnaise. Also add any spices to taste. The liquid ingredients will add juiciness to the casseroles, and the spices will add additional flavor.
7. Put the potato slices into the dish in which you will cook the casserole. Season them with salt and ground pepper.
8. Spread the minced meat evenly on the potatoes.
9. Cover the minced meat with potato slices, which are seasoned with salt and pepper.
10. Stir boiled milk with raw eggs, salt and pepper. Pour the mixture over the casserole and sprinkle with cheese shavings. Send the product to a heated oven to 180 degrees for 45 minutes.
